Thank God for young men and women who stand in harms way for our liberty. Beats the OWS crowd, doesn't it?!

I hit "no" by mistake...Sorry. I don't know how to retract that vote. I most definately appreciate the service of our folks in uniform. Many of us that have served and are presently serving do so with the idea and intent that we are helping those that need help and defending against those that would harm us. We do so to preserve the life style and freedoms we have and keep our enemy off of our shores. It's the politicians that have played with the lives of our military like chess pieces. I didn't realize that Viet Nam quickly became a conflict that was controlled by politicians instead of letting the military just get in there and get the job done. Todays involvment in the middle east is no different. Sure, I know the trigger was the twin towers. But, what have we done that is gonna last more than a few weeks if we were to pull out today? The folks in uniform get sh*t on while they serve and can't get sh*t for their war related needs when they get out. Money for war is abundant. Money for recovery and healing is scarce at best. Just ask those that are returning.

I do very much. I may not always agree with what we are doing, but that doesn't mean I don't support/appreciate those that serve. In fact I want the best for them and for us as a nation.

I admire all of them very much. I hope they can withdraw most of the troops as soon as possible and nothing new starts.

yes it would. There will always be troops in foreign countries from now on except the Islamic ones perhaps. But lets hope its in peace not war. Got to get those troops out of Afghanistan and not get into a real war with Syria.

or Iran. They're a rational operator. We do NOT need to start a war that will guarantee nuclear weapons in the hands of extremists.

Yes in respectful silent tribute on Armistice Day every year, not shouting it at a zillion decibels as many of the current and past veterans in my family and friends find it objectionable to be linked to xenophobic nationalism. I also remember those civilians like my father who served in war zones - in his case his ship the soldiers of the Gloucestershire Regiment in Korea after Douglas MacArthur had treachourously abandoned them.

I am a son of a Silver Star World War II veteran, I am an Air Force Vietnam Vet and my only son is a U.S.Navy Recruit in boot camp now! The cost of freedom is service to your country in it's armed forces, if we forget this we will lose our freedom.

The ultimate sacrifice cannot be taken lightly - it doesn't matter if you agree with the military action or not. Any person who willingly lays down his life - whether unto death or simply in service - for another is worthy of the greatest respect.

Our military is the one good thing we can be proud of in this country today.

Sure isn't the government and the leadership. Bunch of whiny babies. Thank God we have real heroes in our military. God Bless each and every one of you!

The life we live today is because of the men and women who serve in the military and I appreciate them with the highest amount of respect. We should never take for granted the life we have here in the USA. Our government is screwed up but at least we have the right to complain about it.
