I think most sitting presidents use anything they can to try and get re-elected. However in this instance, I find it despicable. And for you racists out there it has nothing to do with skin color. I think that's the key, really. There is no way to know whether we would've gotten the same information without waterboarding. I'm inclined to say that we would have, but that's neither here nor there.
The problem is that waterboarding has been defined for decades as torture. We brought up Japanese on charges for war crimes after WWII, in part, because they waterboarded their prisoners.
You can't defend American principles by undermining them.
Now, do I agree with how he's trying to use it for political pandering? Nope. I think it's a damning indictment of how our political system works. I also think that the Republicans would be doing it even more overtly and with less tact than he is if they were in his shoes right now. Hell, they thumped their chests for a decade about 9/11.

I am always proud of our military. And this story makes me even more proud. Interesting that it's reported in the United Kingdom. Anybody hear this on NBC, ABC, MSNBC or the others? If you want to have an open question without choices, untick the box.
If you are giving choices, fill in the choices.
Note:
After filling in your choices, following the instructions above, add images for
your answer choices.
At this point you can add advanced options by clicking on the advanced options
link. It is pretty self-explanatory.
