Do you agree with the decision to reopen the theater?

The Colorado movie theater where a gunman killed 12 people and injured dozens during a screening of “The Dark Knight Rises” will reopen Thursday. Family members of several victims have pledged to boycott the event, saying an invitation they received only compounded their grief.

What to do with the theater was the subject of much debate after the shooting in July. Last year, Aurora city officials launched an online survey to gauge public opinion and said the response was overwhelmingly in favor of reopening the site. But this month, 15 members of victims' families wrote a letter to Cinemark, the theater’s owner, criticizing an invitation to the reopening and the company for showing “ZERO compassion to the families of the victims whose loved ones were killed in their theater.”

Unless the community wishes to purchase the property and make it a shrine or something, it is unfair to the owners who were as much a victim as the rest of the community.

It wasn't the fault of the theater. That building was built as a theater and that's what it should be. I really do have sympathy for the victims and their families but not letting the building reopen as a theater wont bring them back.

I absolutely understand not wanting to see the theater reopened. To be honest, I might resist going there myself just knowing that so many were slaughtered there. I would also have some concern about a copycat attack. I don't know if I would have the balls to see a movie there but isn't that just giving into terrorism? Is not going making victims out of all of us, or is it the smart thing to do? I am undecided.

Come on people get real it's a building, a business that did not hurt or kill anyone the people that own this theater are as much a victim as anyone else. If you can't handle the memories then don't go there simple as that.

We must re-open this Theater and Sandy Hook School. Otherwise we succumb to fer and grief and our lives will become a life of avoidance and coddling to tragedy. We need to overcome and move on. Let no one say Americans are scared or soft.

Yes, if they close down every place something horrible happens at, they might as well close down America. People are so offensive about everything these days. Yes this was a tragedy to all the families and my heart goes out to you. But if you think it is wrong to open it back up simply do not go, no one is holding a gun to your head (No pun intended).

It's not the owner's fault . He has an investment, and no one is paying him for his theater to sit idle. Keeping the theater closed will not change anything that has happened.

Interesting you should bring this up Mr. Times.... I just finished watching a great video on the discrepancies and inconsistencies of that potentially false-flag mass shooting. How odd that the mass murders have gone up exponentially this past year and the calls for banning guns is so pushed by the media. I would like to share that video with you. It's quite interesting..... I give you "The James Holmes Conspiracy" (94 minutes):

Life needs to move on. It's a tragedy, and I personally won't be walking in there with ease because a lot of crazy people and psychopaths like to kill where others have been killed. It's like marking territory or something--and I am not joking. The movie theater needs to open. If we closed every business and building that someone was murdered in or died in, America would be sparse.

Like they close down bridges where the 100 car mass pile-ups happen, killing 10 or 20 people? Oh, wait, they don't close them. They scrape them clean and get back open as soon as possible.

the reason I say no is because of the security. Maybe it should just remain closed? At my local theater, there are 2 people selling tickets, and one selling drinks and snacks. There is litterally no one else in sight. You can walk right in the theater, say that your picking someone up, then walk right into the room, and enjoy a free movie. Now i read that the Century 16 theater they hired off duty uniformed police officers on really busy nights. But why did they neglect to that night? I would only open the theatre if there was a major change in the security of the people watching the movie.

Constant media conditioning like the current "Gun Control" push is typical of Cultural Marxism. It is part of how they have gotten this far..

Don't get me wrong; Freedom Tower is spectacular, but I believe that the intent to rebuild in almost exactly the same way would have shown a clearer message that we, as a country, will not be shaken to the point of collapse.

I see the new Freedom Tower as a message that if you knock us down, not only will we get back up, but that we'll get back up stronger, better than ever.

Come on. Is delaying the reopening further going to bring back the dead? This is a business. The owner of the business has a right to move on with his/her life too.
