Only in complete liberty, complete freedom, can there be true equality. Only in the absence of force can people be left on an even playing field. A field where hard work, dedication, and integrity determine your success. Free the markets, free yourself, become equals.

I understand and respect the sentiment, but I disagree. All people are equal in human worth/value, but that's about it. Some people are better than me in countless ways. Some people are worse than me in countless ways. Trying to 'force' equality is one of humanity's dumbest ideas!

Typical Communist wanting to enslave the masses with government handouts and the redistribution of wealth.

This is just one more chapter in the "Alice in Wonderland" version of world history. Up is down and right is wrong. This is NOT what we should be focusing on... This is not what we want coming here, but it's still not as important as what we have going on right here at home.

We are created equal but no two people are exactly the same. Argentina's socialist government keeps it poor.

Depends what you mean by equality. I definitely think that equality of opportunity is as important as liberty, and societal equality, but I definitely disagree if you're talking about financial or occupational equality.

If she was in America and stated equality as in equal treatment under the Constitution and laws, then she would be dead on. You can't have real Liberty if any one individual or group is experiencing inequality, while you are granted special privileges that are not attainable for others.

For example: If men only had the right to vote and women couldn't; that would be inequality, and Liberty would be dead. To even utter it still being Liberty would just be hypocritical and a lie once it leaves your tongue. So yes; if there is no equality than there is no Liberty.

She is absolutely right. Republicans won't agree. They don't even agree for equal pay for equal work for women.

We believe the employer has the right to pay the employee however much they agree - they don't have to employ people, we should just be grateful that they are and stop slating them.

Perhaps you would prefer for the employers to stop employing people and outsource all the jobs? We rely on employers - it's them that should be dictating the rules, not us...

Try your idiotic ideas on the economy, and watch how quickly it falls. It won't help anyone, and you can't force employers to hire people, you've got to make sure there is an incentive. Then we'll all be blaming you for outsourcing.

No idea what that means, but when I do get a job, it will be in Chemical Engineering. And you still haven't told me how any of this affects the middle classes - middle classes will always be needed, outsourcing and the minimum wage affect the working class.
  • nothing... Anonymo... 2012/07/10 07:50:42

What affecting the middle class is that the Republicans policies threaten the middle class, and you are helping them by supporting them!

The middle classes are here to stay, only a return to feudalism could get rid of them. How would conservative policies destroy the middle classes, anyway? That makes no sense.

It's not a matter of not knowing how to align myself, I know The main parties and Libertarians' policies all work perfectly well, just at different times - you need democrats in a boom to soften it, and republicans/libertarians in busts to save the economy.

Republicans save the economy? Are you kidding me! With the tax breaks that killing the deficit and not even creating the jobs they suppose to do. I think you must have had too much to drink! Drink some coffee please!

No, through regulation relief. Regulations kill small businesses. The problem is not tax breaks, it is rampant spending. And the more the government spends on, the more inefficiency and bureaucracy you get. We need more things done by companies with vouchers from the government.

Not at all. Basic healthcare is a right to me and so is education, but the government has already demonstrated how bad they are at managing both, so education and healthcare should be private with a public alternative. for those who can't get private care/education.
