Ryan voted all right, for 5 TRILLION IN DEFICIT SPENDING. And who is stopping from contributing to whatever charity you want. High employment is because of the repugs and teabuggers in the House. They voted down 39 jobs bills, just so they can say the president has failed, when in fact it is the repug leadership that has failed, or more to the point, has DELIBERATELY FAILED FOR THEIR OWN POLITCITAL GAIN. The repugs and teabuggers don't care who they hurt, as long as they win. We all will be the loser if the repugs and teabuggers win. What are they proposing? Shared pain. By that, they mean pain for all the middle class. The millionaires will have no pain at all.

He sucks and Romney sucks. Romney sucks less. Anything that Romney does can't be near as bad as Obama. Barry hasn't kept his promises.

What promises SEAL? Did Bush keep his promise to get Bin Laden? Did Bush keep his promise to create lot of jobs with the Bush tax cuts? All presidents promise things, only a fool would believe they can keep all their promises. Romney promised to be a job creator yet his state under him came in 47th in job creation. He claimed to have lowered the unemployment rate to around 4.7% which he did but he didn't do it through job creation. Over 220,000 people left the state in search of jobs because they couldn't find any in Mass. He promised to save the olympics which he did in a way but he did it with the help of government funds because the "private sector" wasn't investing in the Olympics. He claims he saved the games but to be honest the "government" saved the gaves. Promises are wishful thinking in politics because you always have someone trying to prevent what you want to do as you have seen from republicans fighting Obama's agenda all the way. Now i'm not trying to argue with you but I am pointing out the realities of why promises from anyone in politics are not always kept. It's not that they don't want to keep their promises it's that they are being prevented from doing so.

Not really, but I know that I certainly don't want to live under Romney/Ryan 's vision for the Unitged States. I'm so sick of there never being a candidate we actually like. Rather it's always a choice between the lesser of two apparent evils.
I am continually reminded of the South Park episode where they have the election between a Douche and a Turd Sandwich!

I do not really like the Romney/Ryan plan. I'm also on the verge of "I don't care," because I'm starting to think, "Well America, if this is what you want, let's experience the effects of your choice!"
As a student, I do not want Romney/Ryan's plan because it gives less to students. Yayyy But also for the older people, why would you want your medicare extended to begin at age 67? Sure, let's be grateful for Social Security and Medicare, but vote for the party giving you less of it. I don't get you people.
Therefore: I don't care. But I would like Obama back in office.
  • rightside kotabear 2012/08/16 13:33:53

As a student, you should educate yourself.
Medicare is going broke and bama is taking 700 million away from it. It is going to run out with bama's plan. We cannot remain status quo.
Less to students? Every student I know has worked for what they got. The government gave you 12 years of education, the don't owe you everything.
    educate yourself!

I am completely dismayed that people continue to position themselves as conservative or liberal, republican or democrat. When are we going to listen to the founders and find people who believe in personal freedom and liberty? The beginning is to leave political ideologies behind and use your vote to cast aside those that desecrate the constitution. In my life there hasn't been a single President that vetoed every bill that violated the Constitution and as long as we continue down the same path, there never will be.

I agree with your position on partisanship....but that doesn't eliminate our responsibility to chose the individual who will best represent us from among the available choices.

The present partisanship has resulted in an additional criteria...concluding that any candidate who always votes with their party is representing their party in Washington rather than me, I will not vote for a candidate that always votes as directed by party leadership.
