No no, you are right. If someone lets the person get to them, they have won. Yeah I still do get some bad times but then I talk to my boyfriend and then listen to loud, happy music..

Things happen in our lives we either accept them and move forward, or we dwell on them, and keep the fear ride going. yes we all have defences and we all deal with it differently, but either way we must deal with it. or allow what others have done to us to drag us down, become a shell of our former selves... The rape is their doing, but the way we handle it is ours..we can either stand strong and look fear in the eyes and beat it or we can sit back feeling sorry for ourselves... I will not be part of the latter..

She was a ward of the state, and we've all heard the stories from behind the walls...The rest is mine through living life,, being kicked around and knocked down time and again(metaphorically) I went from a timid little girl to a raging storm in the space of a day, basically i snapped.. and have never regretted it..i can now stand my ground, and will. it not only blew me away, but everyone i knew. lol some wernt to sure of me for a while, but all good now. :) Enjoy your day Serenity.

There is no such thing as a slut... Women who wear short dresses aren't sluts, women who like to go about men aren't sluts... Men do it and they don't get called a slut.. Double standards, eh?

Few of my male friends I have had were called SLUTS by me but that was only said in fun because of the way they would sleep around. They took no offense in fact they would sit there and say. " I am a slut " and laugh You are so right about the double standads, never effected me though I have always been far too emotional to be a slut

One night stands are really not what they are cracked up to be, but when you know your lover intimately its amazing. There maybe others that disagree but this is my opinion not what I believe is right or wrong of others.

It's a silly analogy and too well scripted, too tendentious. The word "Officer" should be "Defense Attorney" to have this scenario a little more palatable.

I keep hearing arguments like this. That the woman did something "stupid or irresponsible," and therefore should have expected to have been raped. But my question is this: is it not stupid to rape someone? Is it not irresponsible? The woman did nothing wrong in leaving a bar late at night drunk--that's perfectly legal. What's not legal is raping someone. We need to get rid of the stereotype in our head that shows us a man in a trench coat grabbing a woman off the street in the dead of night. Husbands rape wives. Boyfriends rape girlfriends. And women can even rape men, too.



As for the slut argument--I don't care if a woman is walking around naked. If she says no, you're a rapist.
