Do republicans that blame libertarians for losing in 2012 remind you of liberals blaming Bush?

I don't blame libertarians. After all was said and done, I don't think it would have mattered who ran against Obama.

Romney was never supposed to win ... the one they feared was Paul.

Not all ... for me he disappointed for a short-time as I can see and understand the strategy in his decision as his dad steps down and he steps up.

hey, welcome back! Sorry, friend, Rand showed a large compromise, indicating that expediency (which lost) trumps principle.

Thank you ... I'm slowly coming back. Knee replacement, losing my job (along with 37 others), new grandbaby ... all took its toll.

I guess we will have to agree to disagree ... he never really backed Romney and was key in him making some sort of noise that he would investigate the Fed Reserve ... Of all the Republican candidates I see being primed for a run in 2016 ... Rand is the only one I see worth my vote.

The republicans screwed up bigtime when offering only more-of-the-same. They ditched all the better candidates for the obama twin, and wonder why they lost. We Libertarians didn't pull enough votes to make a difference in the outcome anyway.

The ABO crowd lost the election and ruined their party in the process. They stand for nothing. I surmise that voters went for the horrid because there was no competition.

The Republican Party lost the last election because:
    1. They insulted most all national organizations including the Senior Citizens, Women in general and people of color.
    2. There proposed programs were void of substance or common sense.
    3. Basically the whole campaign was based on verifiable lies.
    4. The character of the candies was in question and was proven to be lacking.
    5. The continuing lack of willingness to work with others will be the demise of the party after severely damaging the country worse than it is today.
    6. Racism and prejudges were the only reason that the Republican Party mustered the number of voted they did in the last election.

Yes, the libertarians who divided the GOP are even bigger babies. Hope they're enjoying Obama...since they paved his way in. Maybe if you nominated Rand Paul instead of crazy old man Ron Paul you would've had more support. That man couldn't win his way out of a wet paper bag.

Could have fooled 99.9% of us. He went through all of the election process. If he wasn't it might have been in the Libertarians best interest to speak up. We might have paid attention then. Your party's loss I suppose.

Gary Johnson was the nominee, and received more votes than any libertarian in history on an LP ticket. That includes Ron Paul.

They keep blaming us for not supporting their big government candidate over the Democrats bigger government candidate!

Hint: Stop choosing progressive-light neo-cons and you might get the support of those of us who want more freedom and liberty! Until then, enjoy your loss, because selling a free 3/4 size government cup cake will always lose to the guy selling a free whole government cupcake!

It is rather funny. They blame us Libertarians when their own candidate said some rather moronic things that cost him the election.

It was all about the braindead ABO's. The Libertarians and Gary Johnson pulled only 1%, while the spread was about 6 points. The RINO party offered up a progressive against a marxist. How much difference was THAT? They ditched Ron Paul and they lost, pity pity.

I pointed out that maybe if they nominated Ron Paul that possibly they could have won, according to their own "stats." Then I realized that there were millions of Republican Christian fanatics who would never vote for a Mormon, and that they should share the "blame."
Basically, I get nowhere with either argument, and all the blame seems to go to those of us who vote according to our deep seated beliefs.
It is just like those who insist on blaming Bush for the state of our nation--they will not try to improve things by studying where they went wrong, themselves, instead they blame it on whatever segment of the population is easiest for them.

LOL, I guess I just failed at trying to "teach a pig to sing" on another thread. A staunch Republican who blames me, personally for getting Obama re-elected just "taught me a lesson", blocking me and leaving me with this quote from the Heinlein character Lazarus Long: ""Never try to teach a pig to sing- it wastes your time and annoys the pig."
He did seem annoyed after I suggested to him that there was nothing to prove that Romney wouldn't have treated Egypt and Lybia the same way Obama did.

What's funny is that he quotes Heinlein often, and if Heinlein were alive today, he would probably be what that other person calls a "paulpuke."
