No, Republicans have no souls.

I have seen Republicans support every kind of hate and war and even ethnic cleansing, which leads me to ask do these things even have a soul? Is there anything there besides a hateful unjust unscrupulous bag of rotten Republican meat?

    There is no such thing as a soul. This is a silly notion dating back to pre-scientific times when we had no explanation for thought, didn't understand anything about neuroscience, and were under the sway of religious powers that dominated the politics of the times.

    Ugh first of all I'm a Democrat who is voting for Obama and working on his campaign....

    However this rhetoric has to stop. This is the type of stuff dividing America from both the right and left. I doorbell many houses where people get all angry and claim that Obama is a Muslim. Lets stick to the issues and not demean the other side.

    I had to choose an answer, so I picked one at random. However: just stop. Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop. Stop antagonizing the other side. Stop making them out to be evil or heartless devils. They're not-- at the end of the day, we're all ordinary people.

    This goes for both Republicans, Democrats, everything in between, and everything outside of that: learn to have intelligent discussions and debates with people who disagree with you. Attitudes like this (the one in the question) only make the problems worse.

    agreed. sadly even when they are the ones in the wrong, they use this stuff as justification. I understand wanting a little fun, but maybe in a personal/private space?

    Just stop at the word Yes and go no further. Do you hear how stupid you sound? Gee, no, I don't have a soul, I'm a Republican. Bullcrap. You are opinionated and very much out of line with your choice of responses and ridiculous rhetoric in your posting. People need to cease and desist with the broad-brush name-calling and start speaking in specifics. Our country has lots of problems that need work immediately. Think you can stop with the hate-mongering and sit down and talk about solutions? Oh, gee, that asking too much? Sorry.

    I had to choose "no" but I think it's a generalization. MOST Republicans appear to be soul-less and heartless but you can't lump them all into one group of haters. I think the party has just gone so far right, they don't know how to turn around. Their motto is "Never admit you were wrong."

    Not the politicians or pundits... That's for sure. Between the Koch brothers, Rupert Murdoch, Karl Rove, Dick Cheney, Rush Limbaugh... Sleletor from He-Man has more of a soul than the combined lot of them Especially the late 80s Frank Langela version.

    I'm definitely not a Republican, but I would hardly paint them all with the same brush. SOME of them are actually quite wonderful people. I am incredibly progressive, but I have Republican friends and I am offended and turned off by this nonsense that keeps everyone at each other's throats, rather than actually discussing solutions for the country. If you're not willing to be open to other opinions and views, you're being illogical.

    If you vote GOP you are being guided by a different logic or emotion.

    The truth is gray not black and white.
    From different angles some things have two supportable viewpoints.

    Work first to understand and then to persuade.
    Just jamming the Republicans will make them feel only hostility and no commonality.
    In the end Republican or Democrat we are all in the same country and we have more in common than we have differences.
    It is in the best interests of the 1% if we argue while the 99% would be best served in my opinion by finding points of commonality.

    ==============================

    For example:

    Well you sure are stupid. Why don't you see things my way?

    Result:

    Builds a wall and then throws challenges over it. Pushing the other side to dig in and then discount everything you say.

    ===============================

    Next example:

    That is an interesting opinion. Have you consider the XYZ point?

    Result:

    Builds a connection and then offer a point to consider. May allow for a minor change in a larger opinion.
