Do Republicans have a viable candidate to beat Hilary in 2016?

widowmaker 2013/08/06 19:32:54

I have heard several names being thrown around to run for a possible presidential run in 2016. In my opinion I feel that they do not at this time have anyone that will attract voters from the Hispanic and black communities.

Chris Christie, if they don't try to excommunicate him from the party first...
The GOP needs to own up to the fact that they're never, I repeat, NEVER going to get a hardcore right winger elected in this country. No matter how hard they gerrymander districts, keep blacks, students, and the elderly from voting, or use billions of Koch bucks to fund massive disinformation campaigns. If they honestly want to find an electable candidate who can win at least 10-15% of the democratic vote, they're going to need a good, moderate candidate who doesn't sound like a complete club-wielding troglodyte.
Enough with the Rick Perrys and Rick Santorums... They're losers on the national stage. You need a Christie to win 2016.

So far, I haven't seen one. But the election is 3 years away and a lot can happen.

The last election seemed to be a clown car of candidates.

If the GOP fails too much more it may become a dead political party.
This would be Karma due and payable for working to make things bad on purpose in Congress so they can blame the guy in the White House. (Are enough of us that effectively uninformed enough for this to be a winning strategy?)

I have lost a lot of respect for the GOP and I think I am not alone.
Looking for "Jobs, jobs, jobs" by messing around in vaginas is a pretty circuitous route to the jobs.

Too early to tell. But I hope it's anybody other than this dolt who thinks foreign policy points are made with stupid toys. She didn't even get the Russian translation correct.

    reset1

Funny how the media never reported the Russian reaction to that childish gimmick. Yea, that's the best the Democrats have in 2016. Should be a cakewalk for Republicans, whoever it is.

Everything I posted is 100% correct. The reset button was a childish gimmick by Clinton. The Russians thought so too.

Not to mention the misspelled word, how embarassing. Instead of the Russian word for "reset" (perezagruzka) it featured a different word meaning "overload" (peregruzka).

Everything you posted is 100% bullsh*t rhetoric. You guys will be lucky to get one of your pro-rape candidates into the White House at ANY point during the next several decades.

Sure it is; when your goal is to make something much more out of a simple mistake than is due. You can't deny that RWNJs frequently try to make mountains out of molehills. It's their weapon of choice, lately.

Being a fact doesn't make it an issue, nor does it make it important. Right now, you're the only one making anything out of it other than what it was; a simple mistake. Even the Russians have already let it pass as such. As I've already said, leave it to a RWNJ to try and create a scandal out of absolutely nothing.

Chris Christie would be a strong candidate, but things would have to change dramatically for Christie to get the Republican nomination.

Probably would not be far enough to the Right to be considered.
Reagan would also fall too far to the left to be a current Republican.

No~and and certainly not if all they offer up is teabaggers. They are just a radical fringe group, that can't find their a**es with both hands and a roadmap. They've proven that. Just look at Akin, Mourdock and all the other loons in that little club.

Right. (heavy sarcasm) You don't really expect anyone to believe that crapola, do you? Now, you're even trying to blame liberals for your own party's failure to produce a viable candidate. It would almost be funny if it wasn't such a ridiculously-futile gesture on your part. On second thought, it IS pretty damned funny that you tried.

    1) I am not a repugnant
    2) it is FACT that both Mc Amnesty and Mutt carried states that allowed Democrats and "independents" to vote in the primaries- ie- NH. As I recall- in IL, there was a heavy drive by dems to get out the vote for Romney, because they knew they could not afford to let Santorum win the state- same thing in OH, where they had people switch parties to vote for Romney. Notice- Mutt nor Mc Amnesty won a state with closed primaries until the late stages when the had already sealed the nomination.

Actually there was a lot of people ticked off about the numbers of Dems voting for Romney in the primary
