No, but I don't have or want kids. My point is, that for the sake of saving a few dozen kids or so each year, government has now mandated that all children will sit in child seats, out of the front seat, or in booster chairs ..... or we'll tax you with a traffic fine. Just how much money have Americans paid to comply with this law? to buy 2 or 3 different seats for their child, or paid in fines because their children refuse to stay in their chair? How many adults have been fined because their kid has taken off their helmet the moment they get out of site of the parents? Government's over reach has got to stop. Millions of kids survived just fine jumping over boards without helmets, rode in the back window of their parents car without car seats for decades, Government is not my mother,

Yes this country is getting stupid, (do we really need the government to tell us that putting a plastic bag over your head is dangerous?) honestly perhaps we should remove that note, anyone stupid enough to not know that, should really not be breathing to begin with.

I also don't care what one does.; But if they get injured due to stupidity, I do not want tax payers to have to pay for their care.

The question had nothing to do with federal level politics, it was about Liberal Progressives and their taking away our rights, state federal county locally. (under the guise of "it's for the children" or " it's for the good of the community", or it's for you're own good")

They opress them because they feel we are too stupid to understand them so they must do what they can to get rid of them.. It is a cornerstone of the progressive movement to achieve a great utopia led by a cadre of experts and intellectuals who feel that we are sheep and don't know what is good for us. If liberals are so much into getting the government out of our bedroom when it comes to sexual matters or out of women's wombs when they speak of abortion then they must extend that concept to my dinner table, gun locker and my life in general, but they won't because they really want is a Brave New World. I'd say to them go to hell, but many of them don't believe in an afterlife anyway so that point is moot.

They have tried to suppress conservative radio at every chance they could, they want to do away with the 2nd amendment right to bear arms!

Bollocks it was the newly fromed Republican Party(which consisted of renegade democrats and soil whigs) party who where responsible for ending slavery....and giving the blacks the freedom to fend for themselves. The Republican party did more to stop it in the 1800's and the 1900's than the Libs (Lincoln, a republican signed the Emancipation Proclamation and in the 1950's when Racism was alive and well, a Missouri Republican Congressman by the name of Leodinas Dyer introduced an anti-lynching bill that was later passed).

They oppress, with constant regulation, nanny state laws, and more. Progressives want to suppress our right to own and carry weapons, even if we are law abiding citizens. They also want to suppress free speech with "hate speech laws" . They also make us weak and dependent on the government and as such we are helpless to stand firm in support of our beliefs.

You're right; it's actually referred to as the right to keep and bear arms and it does exist, and it is enumerated in the Second Amendment.

Well let's see, we can no longer show the Ten Commandments in any public forum even though it's right there on the wall in Congress, we have to buy health insurance nobody wants or else!, obama put up an 800 hotline to report on your neighbor (but eventually took it down), he still has an 800 number to report on fictitious civil rights violations in Arizona, Hilary is trying to get rid of our 2nd Amendment rights through the U.N., no prayer in schools, smoking bans, food bans, violations of separation of church and state, EPA muscle, NDAA, the Patriot Act (didn't obama promise to get rid of that?)...oh the list goes on and on.

Yes he is and he is also a democrat. He switched to the republican ticket the last time so he could illegally run for another term as mayor. The people of New York have shown their extreme stupidity by reelecting him. They may not be guilty though because the democrats are very good at voter fraud. That's why they don't want people to have to show voter id.

But they like to pick and choose. Their (not my) ACLU, for example, does not support the Second Amendment except in the way they want to dictate its meaning. On other amendments and constitutional provisions, they like to find convenient meanings that are not really there.
