Do people really think that Obama's "you didn't build that" comment meant businesses and not roads and bridges?

I think there is a reason that fox "news" cut out the roads and bridges part.

+5They can't process the information themselves so they rely on Fox News to interpret it for them and of course they are then misinformed. Too bad because I thought the President made a very good point. When we succeed, we succeed together. That's not saying that a person hasn't worked his/her backside off. It saying that we are all in this together. We rise and fall together. And that's the way it should be.
Not to mention of course a nation of people with policies that promote entrepreneurial enterprise.

It is true that we all have some mentors of some type along the way but that is not what Obama said - not at all. Sorry, he slimed all of business and especially small business - the most back breaking thankless job is starting a business and the government does not have a hand in the work but does get paid via taxes - they do not get the credit now or ever. Far too many are ready and willing to want a share of a successful business but where the hell are they when a business fails, where is their share then and how about the credit they crave?? As I said, Obama is incompetent and has absolutely no clue how a business starts, works or succeeds and we can no long afford this poor poor leadership. Leadership so egotistical and with so little knowledge
You probably have no interest in learning the truth, but in case you are a fair person, here is parts of his speech. The first sentence in the second paragraph is important. At least read that.
"If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business. you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen. The Internet didn’t get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet.
The point is, is that when we succeed, we succeed because of our individual initiative, but also because we do things together. You can make all the excuses you wish, you can pretend that someone's 2nd grade teacher did it BUT THEY DID NOT - the person who did the work, took the risk, and hired the people did it. There is no excuse for what this incompetent president said, none.
I heard the speech, I reviewed it and I read it - it all comes to the same place - this president has no respect for business or the people who create the jobs. He did speak the truth, he hates independent work and thought, he sneers at those who work so hard to create jobs and wealth, he despises those who succeed and that is clear.
You can wrap yourself in cotton candy and pretend that our Constitution does not exist and never existed - that the freedoms we have fought to maintain are nothing. You can support a man who would sweep it ...
