Do Liberals Annoy You?

Carter was President when oil prices skyrocketed and when the bill became due from the Viet Nam war and interest rates were run up. Carter put in place an energy plan that would have all but eliminated our dependency on foreign oil and even put solar panels on the White House roof all of which were dismantled when Reagan got into office. It took Reagan in secret negotiations with the Iranians to extend the hostage crisis until he was in office to beat Carter. Up until that treasonous action, Reagan was way behind in the polls. Of course then more illegal activity by the Reagan White House in the Iran Contra Scandal sent many of his friends to prison. Still the most corrupt administration in US history. He tripled the debt, destroyed unions, and the economy with his crazy off the wall theory of supply side economics that has destroyed our economy. He raised taxes 13 times including the largest tax increase in history on the middle class while implementing huge tax cuts for the wealthy. Then he began steeling from the Social Security fund to help stop the bleeding as he tripled the national debt. How he stayed out of prison is still a mystery.

Don't even get me started on your "left wing main stream media" bull crap. In study after study the main stream media is shown to be more of less neutral. And why not, it is owned by corporations whose job it is to make money. They make money through mass appeal. I admit that MSMBC is trying to be a left leaning version of Right Wing FOX, but the networks, you are just plain wrong. Just because you are so used to the extreme far left leanings of FOX news doesn't make main stream media left leaning. But then again, anything that isn't on FOX just isn't really the news. The Sunday news programs feature more right wingers than left wingers week after week. Corporations and big business both lean to the Right because they control the Republican party.

I don't hate it. You can quantify things like IQ scores and by better educated, you mean more schooling. I can only image how you measured "more informed".

I get your point, but it doesn't seem to mean anything based on history. These same scholars thought that the Earth was flat and that the Sun revolved around the Earth, now didn't they?

I'd be interested in seeing the quality of the studies and who conducted them regarding IQ. If that is true how come these liberal geniuses can solve constantly want to try things that have failed before? All this tells me is that we aren't measuring intelligence in a meaningful way.

Regarding education. One of the countries problems is that universities have become breeding grounds for Liberals who would rather think than do and who would rather live in a theoretical world and bask in their intellect. Look at the wackos with tenure there. Schools like Harvard and Columbia have been watered down into indoctrination camps that are no better than Al Quada Mosques. They no longer teach what they are supposed to teach. The Liberals are teaching our kids and our kids can't read or write. It wasn't like that 50 years ago.

Finally, if by well informed, you mean the people who still worry about "Global Warming"......I mean "Climate Change" (because we need to keep changing the name to protect our integrity)? Filtering out dissenting data isn't what an informed person does. There is as much information supporting Man Made Climate Change as there is against it. An Intelligent, Education, and Informed person would say it's inconclusive, but you can start a crusade with that, now can you?

And denial isn't just a river in Egypt. I completely reject your opinions about institutions of higher education. You are just attempting to come up with a rationalization for why really smart people fundamentally disagree with you.

More has been discovered and learned in the last 400 years than was learned in the entire previous history of man. The advent of scientific principals has freed humans to become much more that we ever were before. Most of your fellow Christian conservatives don't even accept that the universe was created 14 billion years ago, and so have to reject the general theory of relativity, and the standard model of particle physics. They also don't understand and reject the theory of evolution. Apparently they don't understand that evolution and genomics is the basis of modern biology. They are happy to accept the benefits while ignorantly denying the basic principals that make those benefits possible.

Your Global Warming nonsense is another example. The earths atmosphere has been warmed by human actions. That warming doesn't mean that everything will always be hotter, it means that there is more energy in the atmosphere, causing land exasperating lots of different, weather events. The name change helps to make the phenomenon more accessible to less educated individuals. The vast majority of climate scientists fully accept human caused climate change. The very few who deny climate change or deny the human causes are at best outliers.

Finally your suggestion that vast amounts of scientific evidence from all around the world is somehow a huge conspiracy theory is paranoia, plain and simple.
