Was it something I said half-wit? I know half wit, if you don't agree with the poll numbers you try the conspiracy theory that the numbers are rigged. When unemployment just went from 8.1% to 7.8%, I thought the Republicans, Fox News, and Rush Limbaugh was going to have a hissy-fit, and strangle on their own venom. Then then they tried to invent a new conspiracy theory that the White House and Obama had manipulated the percentages that they have no control over, but the right-wing zealots were sure the job numbers were manipulated. They could not fathom how this could be as they had OBSTRUCTED, HELD THE COUNTRY HOSTAGE TWICE, FILIBUSTERED AND BLOCKED ALL JOB CREATION, AND DEADLOCKED CONGRESS SO THAT NO LEGISLATION COULD BE PASSED TO FIX THE ECONOMY. So they felt they had done everything to keep Obama from fixing anything just so they could turn around and blame him for the lack of economic and job growth to win the 2012 election. I mean, after all, didn't they try to suppress hundreds of thousand of Democrats from their Constitutional right to vote and have a voice in their own country? NATURAL BORN JOB KILLERS: REPUBLICANS OBSTRUCT OVER 4.2 MILLION JOBS

Most human beings appreciate a person who sets a long-term goal and achieves success through careful planning, dedication, and single-minded determination to see their final objective reach fruition. There are, of course, some goals that should never be made, much less achieved, and world history is replete with examples of dastardly leaders whose goals were not in the best interest of humankind and caused immeasurable damage to a great number of people. On Inauguration night in 2009, Republican leaders gathered to plot the absolute Obstruction of President Obama’s economic agenda and thus far, they have been successful much to the disappointment of millions of Americans who continue to suffer the effects Republican’s goal of retarding economic recovery and job creation. The GOP makes matters worse by decrying the President’s handling of the economy when the truth is that if they had not blocked, obstructed, and stonewalled every one of the President’s plans to improve the jobs and economic picture, the economy would be much closer to achieving a robust recovery.



The only failure in Republican attempts to totally destroy the economy was their inability to obstruct the President’s stimulus the Congressional Budget Office and several independent agencies claim created over 5 million jobs. However, they have made up for that success by refusing to consider President Obama’s American Jobs Act proposed, and coupled with severe austerity measures at the state and local level, they have been successful maintaining unemployment at over 8% instead of less-than 6% if they were not intent on obstruction and economic devastation.



The austerity measures Republicans are implementing have never worked during a recession and despite the abject failure of every European country, and the Great Depression in 1937 that enacted austerity, they are hell-bent on following the countries that have no growth and soaring unemployment. Even the presumptive Republican presidential candidate, Willard Romney, admitted that austerity during a recession is disastrous, and yet Republicans have killed over 600,000 public sector jobs that prevented 2.3 million downstream jobs from being created. Coupled with Republican obstruction of the President’s job plan in January 2011, they have effectively prevented 4.2 million Americans from finding good, living wage jobs, or enough to bring the unemployment rate down to 5.5% in a little over a year. Instead of cutting 600,000 teaching, police, firefighter and other public jobs, if states had increased those lost jobs by one-half, the unemployment rate would be under 5% and tax revenue would be up, the deficit would be reduced, and the economy would be humming along.



Republicans are now claiming that letting the Bush era tax cuts for the rich expire will kill more jobs, but the facts, and history, do not bear out their fallacious assertions. During the Clinton Administration, the wealthy paid 3% more in taxes and the economy added 22-million jobs, wages increased, and businesses boomed. In fact, during the Eisenhower Administration, the wealthy paid nearly 90% in taxes during the time when hundreds of thousands of soldiers returned from World War II, and the infusion of cash created the nation’s highway system, a booming economy, and the great middle class. The GOP knows how to create jobs, but they have no interest in America’s economy, or its people and they must relish the thought of killing jobs and retarding economic growth as they planned in 2009, and will continue up to the 2012 election.



There is a tax plan in the Senate proposed by Democrats that gives small businesses a 10% tax cut in exchange for hiring new workers and raising employee’s pay. It also allows businesses to fully deduct the cost of significant investments made in 2012 as an improvement to the current law that caps write-offs at 50%. An independent firm specializing in economic modeling estimates the legislation will add 1 million new jobs to the U.S. economy. The plan should give Republicans wet-knickers for including a tax cut for real small-business job creators in the healthcare, social services, and retail industry. However, because it was a Democratic plan, Republicans insisted on loading it with amendments and the Republican-controlled House opposed it because it would have creatds jobs, and not tax cuts for the rich.



It is a travesty that Republicans hate Americans with such a passion that they deliberately obstructed over 4.2 million jobs, and continue advocating for more tax cuts for the wealthy as they seek out ways to kill more jobs. They have also resisted attempts by the President and Democrats to rescind tax breaks for corporations that ship Americans’ jobs overseas, and there is no telling how low the unemployment rate would be if they did their jobs. However, they have fulfilled their goal of obstructing economic recovery and job creation measures so one can imagine they celebrate every new report that unemployment is stuck at a little over 8% when the reality is if they cared about the economy or the American people it would be under 5%, and that is without letting Bush-era tax cuts for the wealthy expire. But that is the Republican Party that cannot compromise, help the American people, or help fix the economy their policies sent to the edge of the abyss. But they still have time to finish the job they started and obstruct America into a deep economic recession which appears to be their true plan that began in 2001 and should reach fruition by December 2012 when the Mayans predicted the world comes to an end. Unfortunately for millions of unemployed Americans, their world ended when Republicans deliberately killed their jobs and obstructed every single attempt to restore them and it appears they still have not achieved their ultimate goal of destroying the economy to make room for more tax cuts for their precious, imaginary “job creators.”

And where is your facts and proof that democrats created the great depression of 1929, as your mouth is not a fact machine. During the great depression there were several comparisons we can make with our current near-Depression. First there were no REGULATIONS, and then the wealth inequality was as bad as it is today. And lastly, the same Republican cry came up that our national debt was too high, and we should cut spending and go into austerity as they are suggesting we do today. In 1937, spending and austerity measures were enacted Before they dramatically cut spending, the Great Depression was improving, and when the tried the austerity measures, the country sank right down into another deeper depression. Does that sound like democratic policies, or does that mirror the verysame republican polies being proposed by republicans today?

The period of 1947 until the late 1970s is known as the "Great Prosperity", and is said to be the most prosperous period this country has ever seen. The REGULATIONS were put on after 1937 to prevent another Great depression from ever happening again. During that 30 year period of the Great Prosperity, we did not have a MAJOR recession until those REGULATIONS were removed during the Reagan administration when they were again removed by the Republicans, and we have had major recession every since then including our current near-Depression. the lesson you should have learned is if your going to lie about recorded history, you better damn well do your research because I love to confront and expose your lies, conspiracy theories, and distortions of the truth

I understand the mentality of the Republican party, and especially the Conservative, and the the T-Booger wings. All of our past Presidents have been WHITE, but the White race is quickly becoming the minority in this country, and it seems like it is driving you half-wits to being terrified and crazy about having an African American in your White House?. I am the kind of fellow who can agree to disagree, or even be convinced with good examples of why I should vote for this person or that person so I'm asking for your help as an Independent as to why Romney and Ryan should be my choice?

The American people, in this case, are the employers, and Romney want's to become this countries most important, and powerful leader in the world and best man for the job. This person who becomes our President has an ideology and policies, and it is essential for each of us to navigate the critical ebb and flow of his politics and policies today. The outcome of these decisions of who presents the best vision of the future is sure to influence the next generations, and the next decades. I'm sure we can both agree to that? You seem like a reasonable conservative, and I am an Independent who can be convinced, so tell me exactly what polices does Romney have that would make America better, and would make me want to vote for him? So far his policies are the same as the Bush policies only twice as extreme, and we all saw what that cause, and we also observed in Europe what happens when you use austerity measures, and that is exactly what the Republicans, Romney and Ryyan ate suggested we do. It's a mathematical thing. The U.S. does not have an income problem, it has a spending problem. Obama does not seem to understand this. Under Obama's spending plans the annual gov't expenditures would rise to about 23% of GDP, yet gov't revenues would only be about 19%. Leaving a 4% of GDP deficit each year!

So if the average GDP is $15 Trilliion we would be running about $600 Billion deficit each year. This is unsustainable over time. Obama has already run up about $6 Trillion on the national credit card.

Romney wants to cut spending back to 20% of GDP (about what it was under Clinton and Bush) and broaden the tax base to bring in about 19-20%. Viola', we have a balanced budget!

Over the years gov't revenues have averaged about 18% to 19% of GDP. This was done with tax rates of 90% and with tax rates at 28%. So gov't revenues seem to have a ceiling.

This cannot be done under Obama because Obama continues to increase spending willy-nilly to satisfy the elite and special interests. Romney, being a businessman, knows that you cannot continue a viable business by losing money each year.

Look at your own family budget. Can you earn, say $10,000 per month, while spending $15,000 per month? Sure, for a little while, but then your creditors would demand that you stop. You either have to increase income or live within your means. It is a lot easier to cut back on extras and dining out every night than it is to dramatically increase your income at the drop of a hat.

I Would simply ask you what your smoking, and then see if you have any facts, truth and reality of anything about, the lies, conspiracy theories, and distortions of the truth you just told. These all come out of your Republican echo chambers just like the the Death Panels, the Birthers, the conspiracy theory that Obama stole $716 billion out of Medicare, Obama doubled the national debt, Obama has made the economy worse, the Filthy Rich are job creators, The US has massive voter fraud, Romney will not raise taxes on the middle and poor classes, Obama got rid of the work requirement for welfare, Romney really cares about the 47%, Romney was the one who saved the Auto Industry, unregulated corporations is freedom, etc., etc. etc. Must I remind you of all of the Romney and Republican lies, conspiracy theories and distortions of the truth you group of maggots keep inventing as I have dozens and dozens more?

Democracy, where each person's vote, value and opinion are equal with everyone else, seems a naive form of government doomed to failure to the hidden agenda of conservatism. It always has. The founders of modern day conservatism make this very clear.

Simply put, not everyone, as defined by conservatives should have an equal voice, because not everyone should be viewed as equal, and therefore deserving. Conservatism calls for us to surrender to their acknowledged aristocracy of those who have great wealth, leadership abilities, power, and stature. These include conservative politicians, corporate CEOs, the Filthy Rich, some religious leaders who tow the line, and purveyors of local prejudices (Governor Scott Walker, etc.), those who blaspheme the name of freedom by trying to control the thoughts and values of others.
