Do atheists have an oversimplified concept of God?

From what I've seen, and heard, from them lately this is their god. (small g here).

They simply see no evidence for a god. No matter how complex or simple your idea of a god is, is irrelevant to an atheist.

I thought atheist didn't believe in God? So by default they have no concept of God to oversimplfy. The flying spaghetti monster is a parody of all religions. It's making fun of belief in God and at the same time the parody is also used to discredit the concept of God by making it look foolish. I'm a theist, so don't take my comments as a sign of being an atheist.

You don't have to believe in God to have an understanding of the concept of a creator or lack thereof.

Well, I've heard that he was or that he was a Diest, which is not the same as a theist. Close but not quite. He did rewrite the bible and took out the miracles..

More accurately, the vocal bunch has have an oversimplified concept of God. They are worse than the Bible-thumpers.

I put the BIble thumpers and the atheists on the same level. They both are imature on a certain level.

Well I think that there are many who do. But then there are believers who have an over simplified concept of God.

That's isn't necessarily a bad thing. God can be pretty daunting.

Yeah but I think what I meant are these guys who want to misinterpret the Bible to make women almost slaves and things of that nature.

But it seems all we see and hear about are the Evangelical atheists. They are big fat pains-in-the-ass. Those folks just want to rain on any Christians' parade. Or Jews, but mostly Christians because they have such a hard-on for Christians. I don't know why. Seems to me they'd do better to have a boner for Muslims and that Shar'ia crap. That's a serious hurt for all.

Don't know why they are so thin-skinned, paranoid and idiotic that they can't ignore Christians. They have a problem with free speech and the 1st Amendment in general at least when it comes to Christians.
