Meet USMC SGT. Gary Stein:

He blogs on criticism about the president of the USA.

"A Camp Pendleton Marine whose Facebook posts ignited a debate about whether active duty troops are allowed to criticize the president of the United States says he intends to keep posting his views on the Web.

Sgt. Gary Stein created the Facebook group "Armed Forces Tea Party Patriots" three weeks ago as a way to voice his opposition to President Obama's health care overhaul. On Tuesday, prior to a cable TV interview, superior officers asked the 24-year-old Marine to review the Department of Defense directives on political activities. Stein then removed the Facebook group, only to see it revived by a civilian member of a local Tea Party group hours later."

Liberals only love the military when they are traitors or attacking Republicans.

Sgt. Gary Stein took an oath as a Marine to:

"support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic"

Since the war of 1812, the USA has not faced a bigger domestic enemy to the US constitution.

Sgt. Gary Stein is doing his job.

What? His civil rights were suspended when he entered the armed forces of the United States? I'd think he not only has the right, I think has the moral obligation to tell the truth about our "Commander in Chief", although it sure goes against military protocol, and could cost him his career, or his life, even.

This is true. There are laws in place that we have to follow...as marines we can voice our opinion but with limits as to how we do it....gotta be respectful....or deal with possible charges. Its a good thing I'm no longer active...because I would have been kicked out for the things ive said about Obama....

Obama is cutting benefits to military personnel, before cutting any of the OUTRAGEOUS benefits politicians are currently receiving, these people have a right to be angry. Our military puts their life, VOLUNTARILY on the line to serve and risk death to protect our freedoms. THE LEAST THIS GOVERNMENT COULD DO IS TREAT THEM LIKE HUMAN BEINGS.

I said the first statement, then I found the link to the factcheck site. tricare is something that I depend on to cover medical expenses for my daughter, and I'm keeping a close eye on things in the future to make sure the statements are false. Politicians can do and say what ever they want, whenever they want and it doesn't matter one bit; when they pass a bill they do it with THEIR best interests (money in their pocket) at heart and no one elses. So, fact check says it's false. I'm going on the assumption it's possible until I find evidence to the contrary.

I used to be a wife of a marine, I know exactly what you mean. the running joke was always "if the government wanted you to have a family, they would have issued you one" Some commanders cared, others didn't. Same goes with everything else i suppose.

Although allot would depend on what executive powers Obama has decided to give himself this week, next week and so on. Sgt. Stein is sworn to protect the Constitution in it's original form not the Constitution Obama and his mentally retarded left wing whack jobs deem it to be. Although the President does have the executive power to give orders to the military the military is sworn to protect the Constitution first against any enemy foreign or Domestic which would include the mentally retarded left wing whack jobs they are also sworn to protect the citizens of the USA and cannot be asked by the President or any other form of Government to fire upon any citizen of such. I commend Sgt Stein for his effort and for planting the seed now in the hands of a civilian the President and or his mentally retarded minions now have no control to stop. Tough beans Obie. If this is could be considered a national threat. Then in order to stop the threat of peoples first amendment rights to freedom of speech. The best thing Obama could do is to step down and the threat would go away.

As a citizen who proudly serves our nation, he most certainly does. Military rules - written for a time where the only means available to express such criticism might disrupt unit-level morale - imposes a gag order on such criticism. It is time to update the rules to enable both to co-exist... maintaining morale of units, and exercising rights to express heart-felt concerns about how and where the nation is being led (or lied to) by the pResident.

What do the rules of the military say?
Although he did follow orders and take it down it is now out of the military's and the Presidents jurisdiction. Last I checked the first amendment still stands for all US citizens so that the civilian population that re-posted it is within the limits of the law. And nothing the military or the President can legally do to stop it.

No, this is not an unusual C-I-C, he was elected to the office just like those that proceeded him. The only unusual C-I-C was GWB because of the debacle in Florida and the USSC, but he was still the C-I-C once the election was over no matter what the circumstances were.

Actually, he's closer to the truth than you are. Newspapers are owned and censored by the gov so you can't take their propaganda as fact. Both al gore and GWB are related. They are part of the same royal bloodline. GWB was supposed to win because he is a higher rank in the family. Hence the debacle in Florida to change the out come. All of the presidents throughout history are related and part of the royal british family. Geneologically proven.
