I am sick to death that American politics has to run on what is good for Israel. WHY? WHY? I don't care what politicians say about Israel because they are all sucking up to the Jewish vote in the US. The zealots in Israel are like the Tea Party for no compromise and not talking to the other side. Their politicians cater to fear and the far right and ours seem to have to go along too. Lest we forget that the Communist Party started out with Jews who saw collectivism as the future. The Kibbutzes in Israel are collective farms for newcomers. Israel is a very socialist country and yet we rant and rave about Europe being socialist. Double standard maybe.
