Last month, a young woman named Lindsey Stone took a company trip to
Arlington National Cemetery, where she decided it’d be hilarious to flip
off our fallen heroes. A coworker caught the moment in a photo, which
Stone swiftly posted on her Facebook page.

She was on a Company paid trip ..
and APPROPRIATE that she was fired for this stunt
(along with the one who aided/abetted and photographed her too)

This should be WELL documented as a reason for firing ..
reflects poorly on the business too ..
the stupidity and ignorance .. disrespect of one's employees while on company time ..
does affect NEGATIVELY the business ..

It's obvious she was just trying to be funny by doing the opposite both things the sign demands. While I don't think she was actively giving the fallen heroes the finger, the time and place for this stunt was wildly inappropriate.

I know Serenity. I will never forgive President Obama for his calling it as "violence workplace" which I felt it shall called as terrorism. It was unfair to these woman and men in uniforms and off duty civilans. These ones who were injured deserves better and shall have gotten the same benefits as any of troops killed or injured in combat.

First her company should fire her. She has a right to free speech but this is a pr nightmare and I'd boycott her company until she apologized or was fired. Second I'd give her the finger back. These brave men and women died for us - many never married or had children. Those who did left behind a lifetime of anguish for their loved ones.

It was a spontaneous failed attempt at humor directed at a sign in a very sensitive place. A moment of poor judgement does not ruin the whole person. Obviously, there was no malicious intent.I would advise her to be more sensitive to her surroundings and to test risky material with close friends.
