Deputies arrested Shellie Zimmerman, 25, about 3:30 p.m. ET, after they were advised by the office of State Attorney Angela Corey that a warrant had been issued.
She was booked into John E. Polk Correctional Facility and released on $1,000 bond, officials said.
George Zimmerman, 28, was charged with second-degree murder in the Feb. 26 shooting of Martin. He pleaded not guilty. Police say that he claimed on the night of the shooting that he acted in self-defense.

She was specifically asked if she knew what the balance of the Paypal account was and she said , "NO". It's not up to the witness to answer anything but the question and they are certainly not obligated to ask the questions themselves. The prosecution blew it.
Where's the perjury?
No, bail is a mechanism for the accused to enjoy their freedom during the ongoing litigation.
It is a bond which guarantees one will present them-self before the court when ordered to and abide by the terms of the court and bondsman in the interim.
It has NO legal bearing whatsoever on the outcome of litigation and is not paid to any attorney or legal representative,.
At Zimmerman’s April 20 bond hearing she was asked whether the couple had any money. Her response.
“Uhmm, not, not that I’m aware of".
But prosecutors say bank records show Shellie Zimmerman had stashed cash in a safe deposit box and transferred nearly $75,000 from her husband’s bank account into hers. When her husband was granted bond and released from jail, the money was returned to George Zimmerman’s account.
Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy
She was also asked if she knew the balance of the Paypal account (they were fully aware of it) and she responded with "No", which was a true statement. Donations were pouring in from all over continuously.
Had prosecutors followed up with "In your best estimate, how much would currently be in that fund"? .... they would have grounds for perjury had she lied about the amounts she knew about.
The fb Paypal account was separate in the fact that it specifically stated what the funds were to be used for ONLY and wasn't at their discretion to use them as they chose.
It would be akin to someone raising funds online to pay for a badly needed cancer operation, and using the funds to get cosmetic surgery instead.
The two have nothing to do with one another, one being necessary and the other being a choice.
Legal fees being necessary and bonding out being a choice.
A fine line it is, but perjury is a very tricky charge to prove. Witnesses are not obligated to offer anything but what is asked and certainly don't frame the questions.
At least my $200 went for a good cause.
