I switched channels and watched Leno! I can't stand to see him or Michelle on programs lapping up the celebrity. A sure way to lose ratings is to have one of them on your program.
I enjoyed the hour spent listening to them casually discuss issues without the superheated rhetoric of the campaign. The President relates well to others in a very natural way. I am very grateful he is in office and am proud to support Mr. Obama's re-election.
?!really!? You consider Mitt Romney looking out into an audience as he's being aloof but you missed the "WTF" look on David Letterman's face when he asked Obama about the deficit?
I wonder if he knows what means US downgrade to AA / AA-?
"In his interview with David Letterman last night, President Obama admitted that he didn’t know the amount of the national debt.
“Now, do you remember what that number was? Was it $10 trillion?” asked Letterman.
“I don’t remember what the number was precisely,” responded Obama.
The national debt, of course, was $10 trillion when President Obama took office, but is now currently at 16 trillion and counting.
“If this is me, I got the credit card guy calling me every day, I start to get scared,” Letterman responded. “As Americans should we be scared that we owe that kind of money? Who do we owe that money to?”
“Well a lot of it we owe to ourselves,” Obama explained. “Because if you invest in a treasury bill or something like that, essentially you’re loaning the government money.”
Obama added that a “majority” of the debt was held by “folks who live here.”
“We don’t have to worry about it short term,” added Obama. “Right now interest rates are low"
It's like watching Hugo Chavez without the Spanish accent. Notice how he used the qualifying word "precisely' when referencing the debt so he can pretend he wasn't lying. Imagine if Bush pretended he didn't know what the debt was.....it would be the only thing on every news channel until the election.
I see enough of Obama (and hear enough about him) on MSNBC, CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, Ellen DeGeneris, Jimmy Fallon, and super pac ads. He is the most hyped American celebrity since Fabian.
NO,my stomach turns just hearing obama talk, there is no telling what it would do if I had to watch on him on T.V.,That would be a terrible punishment having to sit and watch and listen to him for any length of time.
Letterman all but kissed Obamas rear. The questions were scripted and the responses were all memorized. It was like watching a high school drama act without honest actors. What a political sham show.
Isn't it odd that he didn't know what the National debt was when he took office? Well subtract 6 trillion from today and he would have had the answer! Obviously he is very out of touch...........
Needed a good laugh what a butt kissing service done by a over the hill hack for the Obom-bo boys. A inept community organizer who ran off to NY to party while the World is on fire, our people are being murdered and the White House Goons can only hand out one lie after the other until they got caught!
Great evening, a POTUS with personality, dignity, and poise. He is 100% to win a second term. In the meantime, his opponent, Mitten, is sinking like a angry rich guy who has told of his disrespect for all those not like himself.....
