I remember talking with a guy who used to live in Miami in the 90s. He said all night long you could hear scattered gunfire. I hear that town is a big center for drug trafficking. What's unclear to me is whether voting liberal is the cause of or a response to excessive crime. I think gun control and restrictive regulations can have a tendency to create a situation where business leaves and people are left vulnerable to criminals, but the number one cause of crime in western society is drug prohibition and until that is corrected the crime rate will remain artificially high regardless.
