Credit rating agency, Egan Jones, dropped our credit rating from AA+ to AA. Back in July, this same company dropped our credit rating from AAA to AA+ just before Standard and Poor did the same.

FTA:
Egan Jones warned. "Without some structural changes soon, restoring credit quality will become increasingly difficult . . . without some structural changes soon, restoring credit quality will become increasingly difficult." They added that there was a 1.2% probability of U.S default in the next 12 months. The company cited the fact that the US’s total debt, which now equals its total GDP, is rising and soon will eclipse the national GDP; the company sees the debt rising to 112% of the GDP by 2014.

Somehow, this important bid of news has remained unreported by most of the MSM.
Can we trust them to do their jobs any longer?

Moody's Investors Service and Fitch Ratings still rate the United States with their highest credit grade of AAA, although Moody's has said it could strip the country of its top rating.
Moody still has us at AAA, so until they strip it down, I am not concerned.

Our national debt is 112% of our GDP.
At what point will you be concerned?

When will republicans be concerned enough to raise taxes on the rich to increase our revenue? We already have cuts on the table, but no more revenue.

We didn't 'not tax' our way into debt. We spent our way there.
Exactly how much do you think your will generate by increasing taxes on "the rich".(which includes charities and retirees.)

We were fine until Bush took office. Bush gets into office, starts 2 wars, and a drug program and then cuts taxes. Would you run a household like that? Then the deregulations of our banks cause more problems.

And obama adding $1,500,000,000,000 a year each year (3X's what Bush added) without a budget in place had nothing to do with it?

Hell, you can't even make the 'blame the TEA party' meme stick anymore.
This election, obama has to wear the big boy pants. And the question will be "Can we survive whoever the GOP candidate is better than four more years of obama?"
The answer is a resounding "YES!"

Check the polls. Obama is 40 points ahead of Romney in likeabliity and 8 points in other areas. Romney needs to turn into a human being instead of being a robot if he wants to win. lol

    Today isn't November.
We don't need a president that is all cuddly-wuddly. We NEED a fiscal conservative. Failing that, we need anyone that is going to reign in spending.

We will elect someone who we like and trust. Romney is not that person. He is robotic, dorky, and hides his money overseas which is shady. He still has come out with all of his tax returns and finances. What is he hiding?
  • keymanjim carolynb 2012/04/10 20:44:02

No more than what obama is hiding. Except on a different subject. Investing overseas is not shady. Even obama's main benefactor, george soros, does it.

Bush gave the rich 5 separate tax cuts. That's after they hide their off-shore accounts. And despite the tragic effect on the economy; you've decided it doesn't count. That was easy, right?

As soon as Obama fails to keep repairing the value of the $US. Bush lost 47cts on the value of the $US. Obama has steadily INCREASED it by 22 cts now.
