Rep. Allen West said he's heard that
almost half of all the Democrats in Congress are secretly part of the
Communist Party. West told almost 100 Floridians in Palm City on Tuesday
that "he's heard" as many as 80 Democrats in Congress are members of
the Communist Party.

Actually Maxine is one of the Few Democrats i like because she speaks her mind and is not afraid to let the President or anyone else have an earful if they are wrong.
The oil companies made record profits during the bush administration and they are making record profits now. Yet they are still asking congress for more tax cuts. I have come out in defense of big business getting tax cuts to provide jobs before but the oil companies do not need them.
The sad thing is there is little we can do to the oil companies and they know it. Her threat of Socializing/ nationalizing them was about the only thing that we could do. Although it will never happen too many politicians have thier hands in the oil companies pockets on both sides.

I once knew someone who was a member of both the local Democrat Party and local Communist Party. I asked him about overlap. He said the membership rosters were almost the same.

I was made aware of it in the late 50ty's.Less than 10 yr's old.Never witnessed it till the

Good thing that you're not a communist! Just keep an open mind Leah. Joe Lieberman said a while back after the 2008 elections that the Democratic Party isn't the same party he joined many years ago. That is a piece of the puzzle to keep in mind.

Every country has some combination of capitalism and socialism. There has never been a country that has been 100% capitalist or 100% socialist. I would say that America is currently about 85% capitalist, 15% socialist. I think in the next 20 years, America will become closer to 60% and 40%, but I don't think America will ever be considered a socialist nation (more socialist than capitalist.)

I truly don't think most know what kind of damage they are doing to our democracy ! The government will take away our rights if Obama is re-elected. The United States as we know it will no longer exist. Our freedoms will be a thing of the past. I'd say that this November may very well be our last election ! How horrifying !! I'm 65, and I have grown up in this country. I am a Patriot !! I love my country. I am embarrassed to say that this thug is our president ! He has pulled the wool over the eyes of so many people. He is leading the sheep to slaughter. Why can't they see it ???? How did I know it, and they didn't? I pray every day for my country. We need to put our heads together and work to get our country back !!!

Obama's a thug? If you mean he's continued the Bush administration's torture and rendition regime and even expanded on it and made it bigger, yes, he's certainly a thug.

If you mean he's continued the Bush administration's surveillance of American's private phone calls, mail, cell phone tracking and the FBI's "national security letters," yes, he's definitely a thug.

If you mean he's expanded the Pentagon's global reach, continued the Bush administration's wars in Iraq, Afghanistan and Yemen, and started a few of his own in Libya, Somalia and soon Syria and Iran, yes, he's most assuredly a thug.

Btw, you're right, "our freedoms will be a thing of the past," actually, most of them are already but this process didn't just start with the Obama administration. It began long before that and has been SOP for every presidential administration since the end of WWII. Protecting corporate profits, starting and waging wars and giving BS-filled patriotic speeches is the job of every president since Harry Truman. This includes both Democrats and Republicans. When it comes to war and corporate profits, they're all one party.

Republicans are no better. People need to wake up and realize that the system is broken and needs torn down and rebuilt using the original blueprints. We have had republican and democrat president get on national tv promoting the new world order so both parties are working toward the destruction of the constitution, liberty, freedom. I don't understand people's loyalty to either party. Ron Paul is the only insider I will be voting for. My votes for every other seat will be cast for the outside challenger if there is one.
