Heterosexual males are statistically MORE likely to commit acts of sexual abuse across the board--but probably because there are simply more of them when compared to the relatively minute homosexual community.

Just goes to show that statistics only tell part of the story at best. Statistically, fewer heterosexuals abuse children of the same sex than homosexuals (well, duh!), but there are many more heteros--obviously making for many more abusers from this group than from homosexuals.

Any keen observer will have noticed that I've provided the SAME information while wording it such that either side can be made to look 'more guilty.'

What amazes me is that people can't see 'statistics'--and the uses to which they're put--for what they are. When statistics serve as a support for a political/social agenda, they become instantly, magically and completely meaningless.

His response was good as well. It just touched on a different aspect. I like that you specifically highlighted the fallacy of statistics used by both sides of this particular issue, because Chris did make one great point. Pedophiles are the issue, not wether someone is gay or straight.
