Did you know Governor Palin's teleprompter quit working correctly about half way through her speech?

I didnt know that. She is amazing and it shows she knew what she was saying. If this would have been "McCain's Opponent" cant stand saying his name, he would have looked down, stuttered and threw a fit. I know he wouldnt have been able to talk. I have seen interviews with him not knowing what to say and he always looks down, wont look up, stutters, pauses and says uh, over and over.

So what?? If she's a good speaker, she knows what she's reciting anyway. And people are taught to expect such things when they're live like that: sometimes things go awry and you have to just improv. I thought average american is a highly enlightened person, who can take others opinions with a sense of equanimity! Yes, socialism may not be palatable to many capitalists! But what does the $700 billion bailout by US taxpyers mean? What do the actions of great capitalists like Bush, McCain and other republicans in the wake of the latest economic crisis indicate? Any system-whether it is socialism or capitalism- is as good as the persons who manage it. That great leader Bush, who presided over the fate of this country in the past eight years, balooned the national debt from $5 trillion to over $10 trillion (and on the rise by second). The deficit is a modest half trillion dollars. If this is the achievement of capitalism and it is good for the country, good luck! Good words cost little and worth more! Asking someone to go to Cuba or some other country is not the answer for country's travails!
