Did Ron Paul denude America of a third party by aligning himself with a party he didn't really belong to?

No, because if you look at a long enough timeline of the Republican Party, it's clear that Ron Paul would have fit perfectly with almost any Republican legislature of 60 or more years ago. Before the Cold War, it was quite common for Republicans to urge caution and restraint in military matters and to zealously guard domestic civil liberties. At some point, the Republicans were corrupted (either by happenstance or by design) from a party with solidly anti-establishment sentiment, to a corporatist and imperialist den of vipers. What this means, in a nutshell, is that it's not Ron Paul who's guilty of Entryism, or party-stealing...it's the neocons.

No. People know Ron Paul and knew he wasn't "really" a Republican. It will be interesting to see what he does at the convention and whether he runs as a third party candidate in November. I think he associated with the GOP to get the air time during the debates.

No, the Trojan Horse strategy of working from within the GOP was the only way libertarians were going to make any progress.

No he belongs to the Republican party, he was arguably the most fically conservative politician in Washington.

And if Christian fundamentalists or warmongers want to define the Republican Party it will go down in flames, and arising from the ashes will be what the original Republican Party was.

    The Party of limited government.

And he won't run third party because it's a hard task, he didn't do it in 2008, he's not doing it in 2012.

And liberals that wants him to go third, only do so because they see him as a threat to their socialist leader Obama if he won the nomination. Luckily for you, your attempts to spin him as a racist might work, but I know he's not.

but Obama isn't socialist. It's time you so-called repubs admitted it. he hasn't signed any socialist bills. Name one. Au contraire he's put forward bills that republicans designed and still later declared "socialist". There's a factoral timeline on this stuff you can't escape.

Ron Paul didn't denude America of a third party. There is still a Libertarian party and it might be stronger than ever, partly because of Ron Paul. I will probably be voting for the Libertarian Party candidate in the general election.

I don't care what party a candidate runs in.

I think it's a good thing that the Republican Party may be transitioning into a party that doesn't so easily go to war and which will reverse the system of control that is currently being advanced over the citizens?

I just watched some of the Libertarian Party debate on C-Span earlier. From what I've read, Johnson is the favorite to be the nominee.

    From the following article:
"Getting on state ballots shouldn't be a problem for Libertarians. Several times in the past they've been on the ballot in all 50 states. "West Virginia has the most impediments," Johnson said."

Fair enough. The answer to your question is yes. But the question is moot....I haven't seen a lot of past Obama voters say they would vote Paul instead. And that's what it would take.

Now you answer mine....fair is fair.

America has a third party and its the most power and hopefully continues to reawaken as it did at the midterm elections. This is the true third party that needs to continue to come together to cripple the RNC and DNC it is called the voterparty http://voterparty.org/ Vote Out All Incumbents at every elections Re-Elect No-One

Ron Paul did not sell himself out and of all the candidates he has been the one that has been most consistent with his message and true to himself and has most lead by example the others should follow.

so joining a party he doesn't agree with and they don't agree with him (which is why he had such a poor showing of votes) isn't selling himself out?

I dont think so and he did not do that bad for someone the whole establishment is against, and discounted him all along and told people what to think of him and took out of context much of his policy process

I think he was more concern with getting his message out then anything by running as republican he was able to do that as an independent or third party he would not have gotten the time of day. Monetary Rule is powerfull and in controll of much. Branch Government is a ruse.
