All I heard was a lot of desperate pleas not to fire him and the look on the Wookie's face told the story.

While she was standing on the stage with him, you could see the fear and sorrow in her eyes, all knowing that it was going to be a futile effort and the magic of 2008 was nowhere in sight.

Your loss. Maybe if they didn't try to push for a government takeover of the healthcare system that nobody wanted...they could have kept the house. Then again, maybe if he was a TRUE leader he could have pulled a Clinton and tacked toward the center ....learning to compromise with a Republican Congress and get something done. I guess that is just too much to expect from an empty suit.

While it may not establish a single-payer healthcare system....it has authorized the government to take over CRUCIAL aspects of the health system. Anybody who would care so little about our country that they would stand in the way of getting a budget passed; just so they could make the President look bad doesn't deserve another term.
