Did Justice Roberts just HAND the ELECTION to OBAMA??!!

I was as shocked as anyone else when conservative Constitutionalist Supreme Court Justice Roberts declared the Fed. Govt mandate portion of Obamacare Constitutional. His vote actually decided the outcome of the case and swinged the support from right to left.

Today, Democrats are celebrating a milestone victory in the fight to get Americans access to healthcare. The GOP is fired up at the possibility of repealing said mandate and have already scheduled a vote in the house.

Some strategists are saying that Justice Roberts has actually played the decision of Obamacare as a tax on the people in order to have it more easily repealed by his fellow Party members later on.

How will this affect Romney's chances in the General Election? Why didn't Justice Roberts take a stand on the issue now instead of kicking it down the road for the hous later? Can the Supreme Court sometimes make mistakes in ruling? Are they really above the politics of the day?

You know what to do America!!! Vote right now, leave a comment, share with everyone who loves this country, and don't forget to RAVE!!!!

    The election will be won on the merits of the individuals and hopefully NOT on the basis of how much money is spent.

    Dumb like a fox Roberts defining this atrocity as a tax, has helped waken a sleeping giant. Getting people off the fence and to the voting booth is a good thing. To repeal Obomacare, simply repeal Obama. Obama is mollified and will keep on defending this unpopular, 21 tax abomination. It now takes just a simple majority to repeal . In a chess game, it is a wise strategic move to give up a pawn to put the KING in checkmate. BTW: good ruling on commerce clause. Roberts has handed the election to Romney.

    He uncovered a Balmy lie and made it a tax. Now it is more imperative than ever that he be replaced. Once congress gets a tax passed it can increase interminably and we could be stuck with 50% income taxes. One quick fix might be to pass legislation that everyone is on it with no exclusions. This might make the "high and mighty" flinch and be more subjective to getting rid of the mess and starting over. When one thinks about it why should our hirelings in DC get priviledges not available to the taxpayers who pay the bills?

    I hope that the American people are intelligent enough to interpret Justice Robert's decision about Obamacare as a threat to their freedoms and to their wallets. I was not going to vote in this election but now that I see Obamacare as a huge tax on the middle class I will vote for Romney and tell everyone I know to do likewise.

    Not sure of this ruling's final effect ... but all those whining about "conservative principles" of government really need to go back to the dictionary and refresh or discover the definition of the word ... it has nothing to do with the size or, for that matter, the power of government.

    If anything the win for the healthcare bill might cost Obama votes. If Roberts is playing politics then shame on him and he is fortunate that he doesn't have to run for election.

    Conservatives yell about following the Constitution. Justice Roberts is a Conservative, appointed by Bush. I put a question on a few days ago: "Should The Supreme Court Be Abolished"? due to a few deciding final opinions and votes for Americans, being dictatorship like. Mostly Conservatives all answered how we need Supreme Court to uphold U.S. Constitution, and balance. Now because the ruling did not go their way Republicans complain. Justice Roberts is not on the Supreme Court to please the U.S. President, Democrats or Republicans. Get over it.! Republicans are whiners.

    This is a perfect example of why I hate the conservative/liberal labels.

    Roberts, much like the Bushes, Cheney, and McCain, is a neocon.

    He has never really demonstrated much (if any) respect for the Constitution. He's only a conservative if you buy into the "Bigger government that forces everyone to live like good Christians and believes the US should be running everyone else's governments."

    Which is one facet of it. Almost everyone seems to forget that "conservative" can also mean "tiny government that mostly leaves people alone to live our own individual lives and deal with the consequences of our decisions."

    I thought Republicans were all for The Supreme Court being fair and balanced, abiding by the Constitution. Oh because Conservatives did not get the vote they wanted they become a bunch of whining cry babies. Republican speculation why Justice Roberts voted as he did is just speculation. No matter what, Mitt Romney is a loser, not popular.

    The Supreme Court, sadly, has proven it is not above politics of the day. Confidence in the Supreme Court is at an all time low...

    ~~~~~~~~~
    ABC 'Nightline' anchor Terry Moran joined Top Line for a special edition dissecting the Supreme Court's decision on health care, a blockbuster ruling which upheld President Obama's signature piece of legislation. And the president and supporters of the law were not the only victors.
    Chief Justice John "Roberts rode to the rescue of the Obama health care plan, and maybe rode to the rescue of the Supreme Court, as well," says Moran, who has been covering the Supreme Court for many years.
    The justices have seen the esteem for the court diminish over these hyper partisan years. Since Bush v. Gore, polls show Americans feel less confident in the court. The court has no way to enforce its decisions except in the confidence of the people.
    "The prestige of the court is the source of its authority," says Moran, "and justices can't be happy if [the court] is just another football in the political war."
    Justice Roberts explained his vision of the Supreme Court during his 2005 confirmation hearings.
    "Judges are like umpires. Umpires don't make the rules; they apply them," said Roberts at the time. "The role of an umpire and a judge is critical. They make sure everybody plays by the rules, but it is a limited role. Nobody ever went to a ballgame to see the umpire."
    What Justice Roberts did was legislate from the bench. He pissed off a lot of people and gave the Romney campaign a big boost. Roberts is a turncoat and a coward, he violated his oath and in my opinion is unworthy to be called an American.
    Also, if Obama gets re-elected then this Country gets exactly what it deserves, Statism. But as for me well, as one of our founders said. Resistance to tyranny is obideance to God.
    Oh how funny? Republicans are so for the Constitution, a fair and balanced Supreme Court. Suddenly they don't like the Supreme Court vote, start their usual cry babying, they did not get their way. Justice Roberts was appointed by Bush, if he had voted how you wanted Robert's would be a great Judge. Romney can't win. Romney is a weak candidate who cannot even take a firm stand on any issues. Romney is a coward who dodged Vietnam Draft with manipulating 4 deferments because his family was wealthy. Romney let other soldiers die in his place. Romney has no right to be in command of U.S. Armed Forces. Romney even cheated paying taxes.
