I was as shocked as anyone else when conservative Constitutionalist Supreme Court Justice Roberts declared the Fed. Govt mandate portion of Obamacare Constitutional. His vote actually decided the outcome of the case and swinged the support from right to left.
Today, Democrats are celebrating a milestone victory in the fight to get Americans access to healthcare. The GOP is fired up at the possibility of repealing said mandate and have already scheduled a vote in the house.
Some strategists are saying that Justice Roberts has actually played the decision of Obamacare as a tax on the people in order to have it more easily repealed by his fellow Party members later on.
How will this affect Romney's chances in the General Election? Why didn't Justice Roberts take a stand on the issue now instead of kicking it down the road for the hous later? Can the Supreme Court sometimes make mistakes in ruling? Are they really above the politics of the day?
You know what to do America!!! Vote right now, leave a comment, share with everyone who loves this country, and don't forget to RAVE!!!!

DUH.
Roberts, much like the Bushes, Cheney, and McCain, is a neocon.
He has never really demonstrated much (if any) respect for the Constitution. He's only a conservative if you buy into the "Bigger government that forces everyone to live like good Christians and believes the US should be running everyone else's governments."
Which is one facet of it. Almost everyone seems to forget that "conservative" can also mean "tiny government that mostly leaves people alone to live our own individual lives and deal with the consequences of our decisions."

ABC 'Nightline' anchor Terry Moran joined Top Line for a special edition dissecting the Supreme Court's decision on health care, a blockbuster ruling which upheld President Obama's signature piece of legislation. And the president and supporters of the law were not the only victors.
Chief Justice John "Roberts rode to the rescue of the Obama health care plan, and maybe rode to the rescue of the Supreme Court, as well," says Moran, who has been covering the Supreme Court for many years.
The justices have seen the esteem for the court diminish over these hyper partisan years. Since Bush v. Gore, polls show Americans feel less confident in the court. The court has no way to enforce its decisions except in the confidence of the people.
"The prestige of the court is the source of its authority," says Moran, "and justices can't be happy if [the court] is just another football in the political war."
Justice Roberts explained his vision of the Supreme Court during his 2005 confirmation hearings.
"Judges are like umpires. Umpires don't make the rules; they apply them," said Roberts at the time. "The role of an umpire and a judge is critical. They make sure everybody plays by the rules, but it is a limited role. Nobody ever went to a ballgame to see the umpire."
Also, if Obama gets re-elected then this Country gets exactly what it deserves, Statism. But as for me well, as one of our founders said. Resistance to tyranny is obideance to God.

But to answer your question:
"Mitt Romney criticized President Obama for a nearly identical green energy program Romney set up in his state. Three of the six companies in Massachusetts fund invested in are now defunct or struggling" [Politico, 10/26/2011]
The thing is, electing Mitt is every bit as bad. Nominating him guarantees we move further down the road to Statism.
*This* is what I despise about partisan politics. Republicans seem to blindly believe, for some strange reason, that Mitt will be better somehow than Obama.
Romney's every bit as bad as Obama. et al.
