Did Facebook IPO to late?

Facebook IPO was a few months ago and is now on a steep decent downwards. I thought it would hit one hundred then go down, but stock investors are smarter then they were ten years ago. Facebook climbed the ladder of subscribers from 2005 till now, but it hit a brick wall. They maybe should have IPO while they were getting a larger subscriber base. If they would have in 2008 by now they would have been about $250 maybe $300 per share because of optimism and earnings due to rapid growth. Facebook may have grown as big as it will get and may now start to shrink. Well financed sites will start joining in to try to cash in, and that will destroy Facebook's core base, at present about 800 million subscribers. How much each person is actually worth is the big question, because a huge amount of Facebook's core base live in what we used to call third world countries, and make ten to 50 dollars a month. Americans I am sure are worth much more to Facebook because they have a higher disposable income. Facebook at present brings in about 700 million a year, which is great but will it go to a billion a year and stop. Facebook is a company that can do great one year and be out of business the next with the threat of well financed competition, which Americans have seen before in the tech wars. I think that Mark Zuckermen may be wise to make changes to a more aggressive sales team as aposed to the very young and very green group he has in charge at present at Facebook. I was in indoor media sales for a long time and know that it is very common for a company to exploit a sales team for what it can get from that team, and then either move them up or out. New faces at Facebook may be what the doctor ordered to get him a more aggressive corporate sales structure to create a more confident atmosphere of optimism.

+1Interesting. I don't have the background or experience to contribute anything of value. I do have some thoughts as a user as to why people may be losing interest in Facebook. One think I don't like is all the businesses that have pages just focused on their products. The other main turn off point for me is that people are keeping all their pages private. In other words it is boring.reply -
