President Obama is very dignified, well spoken, very diplomatic, hides his bitter or resentful feelings in public, no matter how much pressure he is under. Americans can count on President Obama to handle himself in an honorable manner with domestic and foreign leaders.

He actually tried to gain respect in international affairs by being nice, which is why he lost respect. If he is a statesman, he's not a very good one.

Since he is a citizen he is a Statesman in the terms of he is from the United States. But then all of us who are citizens of this country are. We always call ourselves Americans, but that term also applies to people north and south of us. In the term of respected leader no he is not. While what I said may not please some it is what it is.

Last statesman POTUS was Ike, Reagan comes close.

John Turner (designated 1984 "fall-guy" interim PM, Canada) was more of a statesman than 0bama will ever be!

In political science, statism (French: étatisme) is the belief that a government should control either economic or social policy, or both

bait? if I took a bait, I wouldn't have known what the point of the thread was....either you can't read or are obsessed with being right. probably the latter since you felt the need to block me. are you that insecure?

lol...I started it...And I am glad you took the bait.

However, I am throwing you back..lol

    Bye.

Block you?...I just threw you back in the after I fished you out, like you stated.

..And the "yawn" usually implies that the post and everything about it is trivial, insignificant and boring to you.

    Therefore, why come back?

..And to satisfy you, just think of me as being as insecure as you want me to be...I don't mind.

    The best to you hippykitty.

Being elected to a government position only makes you a politician. Your character & integrity in representing the American people while you're in that capacity, is what makes you a "statesman". Sadly, there aren't many "statesmen" these days. Politicians lie, cheat, & steal. "Statesmen" represent their constituants with HONESTY, loyalty & respect, & O'Liar, Pelosi, Clin"toon", Holder, Feinstein, & a plethora of others fall into the LYING, thieving & cheating catagory, with a heavy emphasis on the LYING!

Obama is only respected by his corrupt constituents, therefore downgrading him to the same level of a CHICAGO THUG. Obama won the Presidency via lies and trickery and most honest, God loving, hard working Americans recognize that. The rest are in for a rude awakening, because his true colors are starting to show!
