Regardless of what Obama thinks or feels he is lying to his minority community and the lower bracket of non tax payers. He is pandering to them for votes only and to keep them in line. Spending is always the problem. Giving money to people who won't work only only increases the problem. We got little jobs, lived below our income, got better jobs with experience, still lived beneath our income and eventually got to middle class. Work and not spending is the answer. If only our congressmen would realize that simple economic lesson, there would be a lot of solutions to our problems. They spend taxpayer's money without thought or consequences because we, the people, are silent and allow it.

Obama doesn't care, he isn't trying to help or save anyone. He has his own goals and they aren't for making America a better place.

Well, we have done it again with not providing enough options for an answer. Individual people cannot spend themselves to wealth. Any idiot can understand that. However, we are not talking about individuals, we are talking about capitalism. Capitalism depends on money circulating to do the maximum good. Too much money out of circulation at the top of the income chart makes for less jobs, less spending ability. The money is out there it is just not in circulation among the general population. The question is how do we change that? Well if the people with the money wont invest or spend it them the government must tax them and spend it themselves. If the private sector will not create the jobs the the government must. America already has the greatest inequality of income among the advanced countries of the world. Without changing that the economy cannot improve.

What you are describing is Socialism straight up. As Margaret Thatcher said, "The problem with Socialism is that sooner or later you run out of other people's money."

That's the Keynesian perspective, question: What happens when there are more government jobs than private sector jobs, who's paying for those government jobs?

Even Keynes said in the long run we're all dead. His policies will never be long term solution without fundamentally changing them (either socialism or laissez faire will become your options)

I realize that I don't have a degree in economics, but in my house, if I can't pay my bills, it has never occurred to me that the solution is to give more money to my neighbors, increase the amount I spend on my kids, and invite the kids from the next block over to live with me.
