Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Calif.), a top House Democrat, is urging the Energy and Commerce Committee’s Republican majority to hold a hearing that explores links between climate change and extreme weather.

The request, spelled out in a letter Friday, is a sign that Democrats and environmentalists hope to translate the recent record-setting heatwaves into political momentum for efforts to battle global warming.

This doesn't surprise me a bit. Henry Wax-head is a vile toad.
We had MASSIVE droughts and high heat in 1995. Some years are like that.
Meanwhile, Europe had some record COLD temps this past winter. Air masses shift around all the time. Sun flares, volcanos and other natural occurances cause all kinds of havoc with our climate, 1000 times more than anything caused by man.

When Democrats come out of the closet with respect to their real (population control/eugenics) agenda, I'll start taking this 'climate change' business seriously. Until then I'm satisfied to accept that the earth warms and cools cyclically--prolly in relation to--gasp!--sun cycles.
