In 1986 we didn't stop amnesty; the Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA), also known as the Simpson-Mazzoli Act granted amnesty to certain illegal immigrants who entered the United States before January 1, 1982 and had resided there continuously.

The amnesty of 1986 was supposed to be a "one time only" amnesty. Yet since 1986, Congress passed a total of 7 amnesties for illegal aliens:

The Immigration and Reform Control Act (IRCA) Amnesty of 1986 - the "one-time only" blanket amnesty for some 2.8 million illegal aliens.

Section 245(i) The Amnesty of 1994 - a temporary rolling amnesty for 578,000 illegal aliens.

Section 245(i) The Extension Amnesty of 1997 - an extension of the rolling amnesty created in 1994.

The Nicaraguan Adjustment and Central American Relief Act (NACARA) Amnesty of 1997 - an amnesty for nearly one million illegal aliens from Central America.

The Haitian Refugee Immigration Fairness Act Amnesty (HRIFA) of 1998 - an amnesty for 125,000 illegal aliens from Haiti.

The Late Amnesty of 2000 - an amnesty for approximately 400,000 illegal aliens who claimed they should have been amnestied under the 1986 IRCA amnesty.

The LIFE Act Amnesty of 2000 - a reinstatement of the rolling Section 245(i) amnesty to an estimated 900,000 illegal aliens.

It appears amnesty is a reward to those breaking the law. Issuing an amnesty to illegal aliens only encourages more illegal immigration into the United States. After the 1986 amnesty, illegal immigration increased significantly. Census Bureau 2000 data indicate that 700,000 to 800,000 illegal aliens settle in the U.S. each year, with approximately 8-11 million illegal aliens now currently living in the United States (up to 12 million, according to Department of Homeland Security Director Tom Ridge).

I know an illegal making over $2,000 a week at an auto upholstery shop. That's over 100K yearly! How many of our college-grad teachers earn that much? Most Americans DON'T.

And he told me he sends almost 90 percent of his paycheck home to his family in Mexico City, while living here with a "girlfriend" collecting welfare and food stamps.

Plus, he conserves his paycheck further by getting "free" food, clothing, etc. from taxpayer-funded agencies and church donations intended for our own needy people.

He even got one taxpayer-funded Latin Community group to pay for his CELLPHONE! So he can stay in touch with his family.

The illegal alien's name is Ruben. And that car upholstery shop has a "phantom workforce" to supplement its legally employed workforce, which is all they report for tax purposes. Ruben's brother also works there.

Here's how he gets paid: If the shop charges a customer $1500 to re-upholster car seats, and it only takes Ruben 3 hours to do it, he gets HALF. So he gets paid about $500 per hour. And both Ruben and the shop are quite happy with their arrangement.

I reported it, giving the name and location of the shop, to my Democrat federal senator's office, asking them to investigate and prosecute. But they ignored my request... which is typical of most Democrats and many Republicans in Congress. For they are deliberately turning a blind eye to it.

This is far from an isolated example. Illegals are not only stealing high-paying skilled blue-collar type jobs, but also many illegals own their own businesses [construction, home improvement, landscaping, auto repair, roofing, paving, janitorial services, housekeeping, etc., etc.].

Next time you're in Home Depot or Lowes, look for illegals there getting supplies for their plumbing jobs, etc.

I have a friend who tried starting a janitorial services business. But he gave up after a few months, telling me he couldn't compete with illegals paying their illegal employees $3 an hour.

Another illegal near me was selling used cars with open titles, parking them at a shopping center with "for sale" signs on anywhere from one to three cars at a time. And he was selling them quickly. Every week I saw different cars. But I reported it to my state's motor vehicle department, and about a month later they towed his cars away and warned the shopping center to not let anyone sell cars there.

Seems the states will take a little bit of action when it comes to money. But the feds play blind, deaf & dumb, except for occasional TOKEN efforts by I.C.E. to bust employers of illegals.

There are anywhere's from about 20 million to well over 40 million illegals in the U.S. now. Don't believe that "12 million" BS used by those trying to downplay the growing crisis.

And Obama, Pelosi, Schumer, Lindsay, Durbin, et al are trying to give illegals not only amnesty, but also "free" college, "free" healthcare, and just about everything else.

Those TRAITORS are serving the interests of FOREIGN NATIONALS HERE ILLEGALLY, and lobbyists therefor, rather than our country and the overwhelming majority of voters who elected them OPPOSED to amnesty or anything else for illegals, except stiff fines and deportation.

If you are incensed about it, as I am, then I urge you to contact your federal reps WEEKLY, demanding that they GET RID OF THE ILLEGALS, not cater to them and make them feel welcome, as they've been doing.

For example, there is no legitimate reason why the government should provide a "press 2 for Spanish" phone menu when you call a government phone number. Only tourists here legally have a legitimate reason to not know English. But they can hire an interpreter, same as you or I would have to do when visiting a country whose language we don't understand.

So tell your federal reps to replace those "press 2 for Spanish" phone menus with "press 2 to report an illegal alien [to I.C.E.]" instead.

You can't blame fruit flies for sneaking into your home, if you leave out over-ripe bananas attracting them. So too, we must eliminate what attracts illegals here in the first place. All that "more secure border" stuff isn't the solution.

Round up a few thousand illegals, as an example to the rest. Then fine each one $10,000 and FORCE_work them [on chain gangs, road crews, etc.] to pay off the fines before deporting them. When the rest see that happening, they will leave too. For low wages in Mexico, etc. is still better than NO wages paying off fines, right?

Bleeding-heart Libs might wrongly claim that's "unconstitutional." But judges have sentenced even our own citizens guilty of crimes to "hard labor." So why not the illegals too?

Further, the illegals are NOT the "We the People" intended by our Constitution. And the constitution of Mexico, etc. has no jurisdiction here. So they are NOT constitutionally entitled to Due Process. Only to SUMMARY JUSTICE, same as military tribunals dispense.

We need to get Congress to pass a law clarifying for the courts that the illegals are NOT the "We the People." So that the courts will have no jurisdiction to entertain lawsuits by illegals, or by the ACLU, etc. on their behalf. That's crazy how a federal court allowed illegals to sue the U.S. Border Patrol.
