The controversy swirling around Senate candidate Rep. Todd Akin's (R-Mo.) comments about abortion in the case of rape or incest is telling, indeed — but not about Republicans. It's the Democrats who are, yet again, misrepresenting the facts (that's the politically acceptable language to expose the fact they are lying) and hope voters are too lazy, misinformed or stupid to learn the truth.
Even though Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus, presumptive GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney and his VP selection, Paul Ryan, and literally every leading Republican have resoundingly criticized Aiken, insisted he drop out of the race and pulled funding from his campaign, the Democrats are desperately trying to link the GOP to Akin's comments.
Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairwoman Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) immediately issued a strident (and purposefully incorrect, misleading, lying) email tying Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan and the entire Republican Party to Akin's statements. They've even gone so far as to suggest that anyone who supports Republicans MUST oppose abortion in the case of rape or incest, since the RNC platform doesn't contain language specifically supporting abortion in the case of rape or incest.
By that same logic, anyone supporting any Democrat must certainly support partial-birth abortion — the practice of beginning delivery of a live newborn baby, then shoving scissors in the back of his or her skull and sucking out his or her brains in order to kill him or her. The DNC platform supports all abortion and does not contain any language opposing partial-birth abortion, nor does it distinguish that practice from first-trimester abortion. It is the official position of the Democratic Party to not only be able to shove the scissors into the skulls of newborns and suck out their brains — they don't even pretend to harbor the expectation that the practice be "rare."
Pro-choice does not mean pro-partial-birth abortion — not to a pro-choice Republican or most pro-choice Democrats.
Additionally, in 2008, the DNC removed from its platform language specifying the position that abortion be "safe, legal and rare" in apparent opposition to the "rare" part. How many pro-choice Americans do not want the need for abortion to be "rare"? Aside from Democratic Party leaders and operatives, including President Obama, and those who profit financially in the abortion industry, it's safe to say almost none.
Interesting.
While the country is still essentially split on the issue of abortion rights, 59 percent of Democrats stand opposed to partial-birth abortion. Yet the Democrats appear intent on increasing the number of abortions in the country as a political strategy. Apparently, an ever-expanding and thriving abortion cottage industry is a good thing for the Democratic Party. But you won't hear that in the media.
You see I am Catholic....yes shock shock I dont believe personally in abortions however I feel, no can I put my caps lock on????
I FEEL THE GOVERNMENT HAS NO RIGHT TO STICK THEIR NOSES IN OUR PERSONAL LIVES WITH THINGS LIKE PLANNED PARENT HOOD.
I have thought even when planned parenthood started in the 1960's with Liberals wanting free contraceptives. The Liberals, of which I was a member of at that time, seem to be content with FREE LOVE...this was long before AIDS and free love was making love to who ever and what ever came along as long as it was consentual...male or female made no difference....
At that time there as a "free clinic" on Woodward Avenue in Highland Park Michigan that seem to turn out all kinds of stuff to prevent getting pregnant....
That is when I married my wife and we found out she was pregnant...and I have never regretted keeping our beautiful Barbara Ann....
Suddnely we have the liberals FUNDING through the taxes things like Mamagrams and Pap Tests and Cancer preventing things...but the FREE birth control pills and the "raincoats" (and most men know what that is) seem to increase and soon the ratio of BIRTH CONTROL seem to outnumber the Mamagr...

10 kids later.......two sets of twins, a set of triplets, and 3 single bnirths later I still believe that a woman has the right to do with her body what SHE feels is best for her, and the GOVERNMENT HAS NO RIGHT TO BUTT IN .
My party and I agree on most of everything except for the planned parenthood thing.
I cannot explain it except the LIBS HAVE NO RIGHT TO CONTROL OUR LIVES BY TELLING US THEY KNOW WHAT IS BEST FOR US.....I know my body better then the Libs will ever know it and when Obama tells me that he knows what insurance I should have....no let me rephrase that what insurance I MUST HAVE because it is now MANDATORY all citizens of the US have health insurance...THAT TELL ME THE DAYS OF CAPITALISM IS OVER AND THAT SOCIALISM IS HERE TO SAY AS LONG AS OBAMA IS IN OFFICE.....
WE NEED TO VOTE HIM OUT.
