Democrats have introduced a bill, H.J. Resolution 15, to repeal the two-term limit a president may serve, which would effectively pave the way for Barack Obama to become dictator-for-life like Fidel Castro. Yay or nay?

Nay, nay, nay, nay, nay and no, no, no, no, and not!!! I wouldn't even want Reagan indefinitely. Eight years is more than enough of any president and particularly this one.

Despite the drunk-on-stupid Left Wing mentality of roughly 50% of this country, there is no way the two-term limit rule will ever be repealed.

No that cannot happen!!! Why does Obama have to run for a third term for? What makes him so special? No way, this is one thing we have to fight, two terms and that's it. I would like to see Obama impeached. I guarantee you during the next four years of Obama's second term I really believe we will see the worst time in American history, and I am not even joking around. There's going to be riots, people will go insane, there will be more desperate people, people will have to rely on food stamps, soup kitchens, long lines of people waiting for free food. He's going to cut back on our defense, and this country is going to be an easy target for other countries. It will be easier for other countries like China to take advantage of us, I guarantee it. I could go on but that would be way too much.

I think it should repealed so we can have Ron Paul up there for as long as needed. If we can't get the father, we can at least get the son Rand Paul!

even though i like rand way better than ron, I am not sure we would want that. even Reagan would've been too much, of course, he had Alzhiemers at the end, so maybe that was a warning.

It was introduced, not by Democrats, but by one lone Democrat with no co-sponsors and has absolutely no chance whatever of even getting out of the committee, which is chaired by a Republican. If by some miracle that were to happen, it would still have to be approved by two thirds of the Republican-controlled House, two thirds of the Senate, and three fourths of the state legislatures.

Democrats came up with the idea to "gavel in" to keep the President (Bush) from doing this. They make it known they are NOT in recess. He respected their rule. BArry apparently and AGAIN does not. just ANOTHER do as we say NOT as we do...cuz we get to do what we want!

He can begin the process but to get anywhere it takes more than a resolution and since it is an amendment it takes more than just the democratic majority in the Senate and even then it takes more states to ratify it than he carried. Either this man is just making a splash for himself or he is unaware of the rules for overturning an amendment to the constitution. Our forefathers again saved us. Smart men too bad the present day men are not concerned about the country like our forfathers were.

The sponsor of the bill is aware the bill has zero chance of making it to the floor of The House and even if it did it would need to pass the Senate. Both votes need 2/3 majority to proceed to the final step, and that is being ratified by the legislatures of 3/4 of the states of the Union. The sponsor knows that. You know that. I know that. The host of this blog has no clue about that procedure. Even if the bill became part of the Constitution, President Obama would be a very old man and would have been out of office for more than a decade.
