Democratic National Convention Schedule: Will you be watching the DNC?

Mr. T August 25, 2008 20:05:11

The 2008 Democratic National Convention will be held in Denver, Colorado to represent Barack Obama and his newly named running mate, Joe Biden. The first night of the Democratic National Convention Schedule will consist of big names and big speeches. A nine year old Virginian, Angela Morgan, will lead the Pledge of Allegiance. John Legend will be giving a musical performance, and former president of the United States, Jimmy Carter will give a video taped address. There are rumors that Kennedy will also appear in person at the democratic convention, but no one is certain due to his battle with brain cancer. Barack Obama and Joe Biden, or what I call the O'Biden ticket, is the main focus of the DNC, hoping that the convention isn't going to be too divided.
Yes, I will be watching the DNC to support the Obiden ticket.
I may watch the Democratic National Convention, but I ain't supporting Obama.
I am NOT watching the 2008 DNC.
I'll watch the DNC if I'm bored and it's convenient.
You!

are you old enough to remember how dynosaur teddy disrespected a sitting democratic president? teddy thought he had a right to the presidency and he did not care if he was opposing a sitting president of his own party. he could not even bring himself to shake jimmy carter's hand at the convention; he did not "unite" the party when he had the chance; so he ceded the white house to reagan. here he goes again, interfering in the primary process with his false 'righteous indignation'. jimmy Carter's address will be by remote video because he probably cannot stand to be in the same room with teddy. IMHO i think teddy sees an opening for his clan to get back and keep the white house in his family. (water you doing tonight, mary jo? deprived him of what he thought was his birth right)
The UN-democratic dnc is trembling in its collective boots realizing their short-sightedness. obama already believes he cannot win, or he has no intention of WORKING at the presidency, because he introduced biden as the "next president" of the united states, then he caught himself. Look for that in a McCain ad soon. i must confess mc cain's ads starring biden and disillusioned hillary supporters are pretty clever and timely.

Biden is a good choice for energy, someone said. he is so full of gas, if we could get him plugged in, he would light up the entire eastern seaboard. other than that he got ~1% of the primary votes (<300K) this last time and when he ran for president in '98 (i think) he was soundly rejected. he is bound to make lots of gaffes - he is running for re-election to his senate seat while simultaneously trying to prop up barack. barack has already LOST!!!
tennis is on usa tonight starting at 7pm. i will be watching that instead

Sadly I am old enough to remember the aftermath of JFK and his failed presidency(Bay of Pigs ring a bell?).....Chappaquiddick....... '76 campaign.....Teddy's 4 DUI's and his messy divorce.

I am old enough to know what niave and wishful thinking will do to a country. I remember Jimmy Carter and his in ability to make a decision about Iran and to turn his back on the US supporting Shah (not a good guy but better than the alternative.) I remember 21% inflation and gas lines.

I am exerienced enough to have stood at the foot of the Berlin Wall on 9 November 1989 and really understand what it meant. I talked with the newly freed people as I helped welcome them into the West. I knew the USSR would implode shortly there after.

I knew Colin Powell was right to tell Clinton not to dismantel the Army and Navy. The Peace Dividend is Peace--Xerxes learned that lesson for us millenia ago. DNC fools are determined not to learn from the past.

Yes, I will be watching the DNC to support the Obiden ticket.

I think the Republicans need to search their faux-religious souls and ask themselves why they can issue too much debt to people and then turn around and call them irresponsible for losing their homes, spend the nation's money on a never-ending war while taking money out of children's mouths here at home, racking up the biggest national debt of all time after the Democrats had whipped it into shape, and preventing 25% of all families from having reasonably priced access to health care by allowing the health insurance companies to drop people at the first sign of trouble while lining their pockets with immense profits. And instead of helping really prevent unwanted pregnancies or helping to make it possible for girls to receive prenatal care, food and housing or for them to place their babies for adoption, Republicans just want to throw little girls and their doctors in jail. It takes a Democrat to take care of Americans. Obama and Biden in 2008!
