Senators Evan Bayh and Russ Feingold are urging President Obama to veto a $410 billion spending bill bloated with about $8 billion in earmarks. Supporters of the bill say that this is compensating for the budget cuts suffered under the Bush administration, but those were different times. It is important to rein in spending and have a few sacrifices. While Democrats have been criticized as reckless spenders by their opponents, here are two that have a sense of fiscal responsibility.

What,pray tell, happened to the rest of them? Is there not a patriot among them? What obama is doing, as his muslim duty, is to bankrupt the USA ASAP to make our enrollment in the coming one world government new world order palatable and desirable to the ignorant masses of US citizens who must be coaxed out of independent, self reliance into one world socialism: a simple task for obamas' handlers.

I always hope that politicians will vote with their heads...and not for any one party platform. I feel the same about BOTH political parties. *** I wish all of them (politicians) would get their act together and govern in the best interests of the people.... I wish.....

Look at Dodd! It should include Palosi, Reed and Frank!!! They are ALL just a guilty!!! There are plenty on the other side of the isle that needs the door slammed against their backside too!!! It's not all the Dems fault, they just have a larger number of liberals!!! If the people in Washington doesn't start standing for what is RIGHT instead of just being a FOLLOWER of a party, then hit the door Jack and don't ya come back no more!!! I agree that we have to reign in the spending and we should make more than a few sacifices.And if they don't stop heaping taxes on smokers, we are going to get desperate. Both the Federal and State governments are making ridiculous demands on us. And we don't beleive it has a thing to do with the children anymore. I'm running out of ways to cut back on things and I've smoked for almost forty years. I have an addiction and I'm being pursecuted for it by my government. How is that right?I'm on partial unemployment now to and everything is going up.I'm not sure of the wisdom behind the hugh spending proposal but I am gaining faith in our President on a daily basis. I'm from Binghamton, New York by the way.I hate NY government. A really bad thing happened here today and I fear there will be more to come. Everyone I know hates what NY is doing to us.

I urge everyone to write their democratic and or republican representative and tell then you are fed up with their performance and lack of leadership. They have the only jobs in America where they spend our money and do not have to be accountable for the results. This crazy budget needs to be voted down and re-worked. Mr. Obama is spending $3 dollar for every two he brings in from tax dollars. Soon or later, it tells you that everyone's taxes will need to go up.

Additionally, we need a date when the far left liberals are going to stop blaming Mr. Bush and realize they are working on Obama's watch now. One of the most alarming aspects of Mr. Obama's big brother governement is it supports people becoming lazy and losing initiative because they will always be bailed out by the Government. Do you really want to be aligned with the French people or the government of France?

One other pressing issue. The next time you hear Criminal Congressional Leader Nancy Pelosi say "what the American people want is __________." Flood her office with phone calls and emails. Ms. Pelosi does not speak for America. She has no idea what we want because he does not listen. Her head is up her ass when it comes to listening to the American people. For example, Ms. Pelosi states the Ame...

The poles of multiple races show over 80% of Americans do not want to give illegal immigrants 100% Amnesty, but Ms Communist Pelosi fails to listen. Where I am from, Ms. Pelosi would be described as someone who does not her ass from a hole in the ground.

As for the Senators waking up on the democratic side----what took you so long?

Maybe we could invite these two to participate in the Republican Caucus and eject some of the minds Rep's in the Republican party who seem to believe that money comes from somewhere other than the American people. If they "need" these pork projects maybe there should be a referendum vote in the area that feels the "need" for the project andthen those folks can pay for it. As a person who lives in the Northern tier I have yet to have anyone volunteer to pay my exhorbatant heating bills this year due to the "global warrming/climate change" that has frozen us for over 4 months....Wait, I'll have to soon be paying for "carbon credits" on top of the heating bills so then I can go without heat for the winter - firewood here I come - oh carbon credits for that too! Where does it end???????
