Actually it does surprise me. I too remember when the Democrats were the party of the little guy. They morphed into a party of entitlements at the time of the Johnson Administration, Johnson, compared to the Democrat party of today was mildly socialist. I do believe the Johnson was the trigger of the radicalization of the party.

I didn't think there are any of those true Kennedy democrats left in the country, the democrats of the past are not the same as those present.
Hopefully there will be more True democrats then those Commie socialist pretending to be democrats.

It doesn't surprise me at all. When I was a young lad, I sat and listened to my Daddy, and grandparents talk about the days of the Conservative Democrat, and how they lamented the takeover of the Democratic Party by the Liberal Left and Socialists. The last conservative Democrat to run for Office was Zell Miller of Georgia. There are a few out there that rmember what they once stood for, and they do try to buck Suitland, and everything it stands for, but they are few and far between. They have to take a back seat to all those in Power, and hope to stay unnoticed by those who seek to control everyone in the Party.

A few Democrats are true Liberals loyal to America, not one of the Commie-Socialist one-world-government ideologues calling themselves "Liberals" nowadays like Obama, Hillary, Reid, Pelosi and most others in the Democrat party. In fact, Democrat Congressman Heath Schuler is the highest rated of either major political party for his staunch opposition to illegal aliens.

There are a few honest politicians in Washington. People like Defazio, Kuchinich, and Ron Paul. That's why they've been marginalized, because they DON'T march in lockstep with what their Party decrees.

You blew that big time when you included Ron Paul, who has the dubious distinction of having THE WORST rating of any GOP candidate on illegal immigration. Democrat Heath Schuler was the highest rated, with an A minus. Ron Paul got an F!
