The Catholic League launched a boycott against the sponsors of the The Daily Show
in April over a segment that featured “vagina mangers.” In the segment,
which aired on April 16, Stewart mocked Fox News for criticizing the
phrase “war on women,” even though the network promoted the phrase “war
on Christmas” for years.

“What
can women do to generate the same sense of outrage from Fox as” the
alleged war on Christmas, Stewart asked. “Perhaps they could play into
the theme. Maybe women could protect their reproductive organs from
unwanted medical intrusions with vagina mangers.”

A picture of a nude women with a nativity scene ornament between her
leg appeared beside Stewart, which Donohue described as an
“unprecedented vulgar assault on Christians.”

The Catholic League is hoping to pressure Kellog’s into pulling its sponsorship of Stewart as well.

LOL! I think it's funny how every time you get your panties twisted into a bunch, your language skills suddenly go on vacation. You're simply not smart enough to find your ass. I'd give you a hint, but it's much more fun to watch you flail about helplessly.

Of course not... if people don't like his show they don't need to watch it.

I guess a sense of humor is difficult to embrace for some people.

I was against this crap when the attack was on Limbaugh and I would be a hypocrite if I did not defend Stewart from the same crap. Mind you, that I do not really like Stewart's left biased BS, but, that is still protected by the 1st amendment the last time I checked.

Jon Stewart is a wealthy liberal progressive elitist working in an industry that is openly liberal to a fault. Jon knows all and is willing to tell you. Remember, he is an entertainer and will do anything for ratings; anything.

Any person who is wealthy, working and educated on the left is an elitist to those on the right. Hell just leave out wealthy and working and stick with educated and you'd call those on the left elitests and thank you for that. I guess it beats being a commoner by a long shot.

If Christians find Stewart's brand of humor to be distasteful (or even profane), they shouldn't watch him. If they need some religious group to tell them not to watch it, then it must not really be that bad.

If it's bad enough, and people are incensed enough to stop watching, then it will fade to nothingness. If not, there's plenty of more important work for Christians to do than to be the watchdog of people's Christian morality in a world where increasing numbers are moving away from their religion.

I would just like to add that you said Christians when you should have said Catholics.
I know that it might seem like a small difference, but you hardly hear other Christian groups, other than Catholics, come out and bully various groups, organizations, etc.
I am a Christian and a Lutheran and you NEVER hear Lutherans attack anyone or anything.

While in this instance it was specifically the Catholic League that called for the boycotts, there are many, many instances where Christians in general (and it's usually multi-denominational) do bully various groups. The most well known of those groups, of course, is Planned Parenthood. I just answered a question the other day about the Christian group One Million Moms trying to bully J C Penney. So I thought my answer properly covered Christians in general, even though it was only the Catholic League that was mentioned in the question.
