There are two words that define 'Love' specifically.

Unlike our POTUS - you cannot 'Love' someone that lacks these qualities.

There are different kinds of love: passion, devotion, feelings, attraction, empathy, faith, friendship ... at varied degrees.
It consists of giving and receiving, communicating and exchange, solidarity, building a relationship, patience, understanding, togetherness.
Love is a GIFT.

I can in more than four letters, how about Natural. Love is inherent part of human evolution which is used to propagate the species.

I admit to be very negative about love mostly for being burned by it several times but from what I read there are really only two kinds of love one that serves to propagate the species and the other to protect the next generation which isn't a kind found in any other animal mostly because a human child is the most vulnerable of any child in the animal kingdom coupled with the fact that children before the advent of modern medicine would be born alive in smaller numbers.

Interesting. As I view the animals around my area, I'm continually amazed at how they protect their young. Fox, bears, mountain lions, etc. Life is delicate when it comes to love between a man and a woman. I am reminded of a favorite quote from Desiderata
"Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love, for in the face of all audacity and disenchantment it is perennial as the grass".

We all get through life in our own way. I hope a more positive future in in store for you.
