Just as God sent the flood to cleanse the world of man's evil ways, a tsunami of conservative righteous anger is building and when it arrives in full force, it will give America a new birth in freedom.
As soon as I read or hear talk of liberals and conservatives or Democrats and Republicans or the right and the left it never fails that whomever is involved in the conversation has turned off their brain and ended any real discourse. Especially here in America. Politics here seems to have tuned into this stupid us-versus-them game of name calling and wacko conspiracy rumor urban legendry. Is there any forum left where honest people discuss real facts and issues?
Couldn't have said it better myself. People love to take sides and view the world as some epic battle of good versus evil. It's so much easier than participating in civil discourse.
It is a battle between good and bad, thats politics. The problem is people don't respect each other anymore, we are blaming each other for things rather than the good ideas or bad ones.
... is far worse, and will destroy this nation outright. Now, understand that making this divide wider is the GOPs main talking point, and you will see the problem.
Humans are the arrogant, ignorant and intolerant ones.
Each "side" is right on some issues, wrong on others. I'm pretty sure, to the best of my abilities, that I'm right in the "side" I'm on with each issue I've been interested in. Maybe you are too. I find on a preponderance of issues most important to me, I tend to agree with liberals/progressives. I sharply differ with libs/progs on a few, most of which would put me WITH Ron Paul.
I'm not arrogant, I'm, confident. I'm not ignorant, I'm educated and self-educated. I'm not intolerant except OF intolerance.
I suppose you consider yourself a moderate, in the middle. I never claimed you were any of those things, but Liberals certainly are. Liberalism is nothing but totalitarian compliance. Liberals do not believe in Liberty.
Not a "moderate" even a little; ptui on moderates.
You are buying into the redefinition of "liberal" as a communist or something. The dictionary definition should be applied, I think - what you've encountered that creates that radical definition, I don't know.
I'd self identify (yikes) as something like a Magna Carta Bill of Rights sub-Libertarian futurist-progressive apocoloptomist. Chew on THAT fer awhile.
Are you claiming your "own belief" is the "truth"?
"Liberals hate liberty" seems more to me to be an insulting slur, based on both a willful misunderstanding and an arrogant bullying, than anything like the "truth".
Yes, I am claiming that Liberals hate liberty is the truth. I'll revise my view when their actions indicate otherwise. If you want to debate the point, start with ObamaCare.
I'm guessing you hate the ACLU. As far as I can tell, conservatives only care about their personal liberty. Civil liberties are for everyone, including those with unpopular views. That's genuine liberalism.
Conservatives care about individual liberties aka our human rights. There are no civil liberties or civil rights, there are only our human rights, of which each individual is endowed equally. That is true Individualism from which classical liberalism, our DoI, and Constitution are based on.
Easier than ignoring the problems, I suppose.

Do Conservatives "hate" Justice?

All righty then.
Question: how is it possible for you to breath in the vacuum you claim to live in?
