I hope they don't try to use any of mine... I have the Sickle-Cell trait... bad idea :p
Really, though... It's not like the dead people need them anymore. Give life to someone else...

Daughter of New York Lawmaker Gets Dad To Submit Organ Stealing Bill
Assemblyman Brodsky and thirteen others want
Assemblyman Brodsky and thirteen others want
New Yorkers to be presumed organ donors if they don't opt-out.

Willie Brodsky, two-time kidney transplant recipient and daughter of New York Assemblyman Richard L. Brodsky wants your body organs, even if it is by deceit. Her father, the New York lawmaker, is trying to push through an "Organ Presumed Consent" law. The law would presume that all New Yorkers who do not opt-out to, are actually giving their consent to be organ donors, as if everyone would know about this. In an online video, Willie Brodsky said of "Organ Presumed Consent" that it is "a major way to fix the problem, the best way to fix the problem" of donor shortages. AP writer Randall Chase quoted the elder Brodsky as having said, "People's survival should not rest on acts of God alone." Forget about grieving family members who learn about this law too late. Willie and her daddy are on a mission that they feel is the answer to doing a better job than they believe God can do!

There is a line that one should know not to cross, in trying to keep a loved one alive. Crossing a line, over to stealing body parts, is a line that should NOT be crossed.
Another new piece of info is that the assemblyman, Richard L. Brodsky is now seeking the office of New York Attorney General: http://www.richardbrodsky.com/
I spoke with my state senator and was told that the chances of Brodsky's presumed donor bill passing into law, are not very high. But we all know how things get slow boiled, till they pass. -- Brodsky currently has 13 co-sponsors.

Here's some to get you started:

It is the family that would have to deal with the situation, not the deceased. Therefore it is should be the family who is asked to donate, after the person has died. And if the family does not want to, they should not be forced to by a tricky law.
There is a huge difference between helping someone bleeding to death in the street, by calling 911 and letting someone have a loved one's heart.
There is also the issue of different faith-beliefs.
This is just not a little thing. Everyone deals with death in his/her own way. And it is not up to you to tell someone else how to handle the death of a loved one.
As Brodsky is, you are wrong to seek to tell others how to handle the body of a loved one.
Shame on you.
Debra...
It just makes no sense to me that anyone would deny someone else thier life that way.
Do you have children?
I do not have children of my own yet no but as far as i know i would not hesitate to donate their organs when the time comes.
