South Korean native here.
We have a pretty big Christian population - way higher than anywhere else in Asia. And those who are Christians tend to be extremely devout in their belief. Our current president is a Christian who has typically been extremely hostile towards Buddhists and people of other/no religion (in addition to making countless other questionable decisions).
Our country has a strong desire to follow Western (particularly American) culture. Religion is just one aspect that a large number of young people embrace. And they're gaining political power. I have utmost respect for my Christian friends here, but I will not tolerate this crap. We do not need to be abandoning science, especially as one of the top engineering and scientific countries in the world.
Honestly, I just think it's a fad. Koreans are not traditionally Christian - it's a new development. But once our fetish for Western culture subsides, Christianity will probably disappear, as well.

The group, which is connected to the Korea Association for Creation Research, argued that there were conflicting debates in evolutionary research on the Archaeopteryx's capacity to fly.

Like most liberal posts this one is an exaggeration at best and a lie at worse. They are not removing all evolution just a couple of unproven parts of it.
You are confusing natural selection with evolution.
A theory is highest grade an idea con obtain in science. Germ theory is a theory, but I doubt you would say we have never observed microbes leading to disease.
Germ Theory is a good example of science being more objective than people like you. Germ Theory is still a theory because although almost all the diseases we know of are caused by micro-organism there are some which we do not know the cause of and we can theorize other possible causes ( such as the crystalline pathogen in the Andromeda Strain).
Science has to keep it's mind open to other possibilities in order to advance. People stagnate their minds by accepting theories as factual.

1.rules and techniques: the body of rules, ideas, principles, and techniques that applies to a subject, especially when seen as distinct from actual practice
2.speculation: abstract thought or contemplation
3.idea formed by speculation: an idea of or belief about something arrived at through speculation or conjecture
Obviously it is you who need to be reminded.
A scientific theory is "a well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world, based on a body of facts that have been repeatedly confirmed through observation and experiment."

That sure is one slippery slope you are on.
At least we're smarter than Turkey! ;-)
Scientific theories represent the pinnacle of understanding to explain a body of evidence. They will never, ever be "proven", and there is nothing for a scientific theory to "graduate" to. They will never be anything other than a "scientific theory". They will never become a law, etc..
Understanding the clear and overwhelming evidence for evolution requires me to "believe" it as the best explanation regarding the phenomenon of biological diversity. The evidence compounding from 150 years of discovery by dozens of scientific fields and the revelation of wildly predictive, empirical, peer reviewed evidence to form a rare consensus in science, is simply to hard to just ignore, because I am a reasonable person.
But, it gets worse...
There is no competing scientific theory. None. Zero. Everything we discover in biology has either added to the scientific theory or changed it. This is how scientific theories work.
"when people thought the Earth was flat, they were wrong. When people thought the Earth was spherical, they were wrong. But if you think that thinking the Earth is spherical is just as wrong as thinking the Ea...

"when people thought the Earth was flat, they were wrong. When people thought the Earth was spherical, they were wrong. But if you think that thinking the Earth is spherical is just as wrong as thinking the Earth is flat, then your view is wronger than both of them put together"
In short, living in a mental world of absolute rights and wrongs, may be imagining that because all theories are wrong, the Earth may be thought spherical now, but cubical next century, and a hollow icosahedron the next, and a doughnut shape the one after.
What actually happens is that once scientists get hold of a good concept they gradually refine and extend if with a greater and greater subtlety as their instruments of measurement improve. Theories are not so much wrong as incomplete."

Wrong, and you obviously did not read the link I gave you.
1. Creationism is not a scientific theory in any way, shape or form. Not by definition, not by logic, not by reason. Period.
2. We should only be teaching science in science class.
3. No theory will ever be "complete". Ever. So once again, even mentioning this reality is childish, let alone meaningless.
Your utterly faith based apologetics are showing...
OMgoodness... are you being serious?
The very fact that no offspring are mirror images of their parents is "evidence" that you are wrong. Your assumptions concerning phylogeny, let alone recent discoveries in this very area showing exactly what you are looking for, are lacking.
Look, I'm sorry, bu you obviously have no idea what you are talking about, and you seem to be fairly nice, so I am just going to leave you to your faith based assumptions and a great video on this topic that you "may" understand. It's "sciency", but not meant to scare you...
i'm afraid i don't know what you have written, although I (think I) can read it:
