Its sad when a comedy show gets so frustrated with the way the media is being presented, that it actually takes them down.
The best part about the Daily Show is that it actually researches...so they can call people out on their BS.
Sometimes, I think they are about the only one besides the occasional special edition report where an anchor goes to a prison.

Anyone who voted pro-Cramer needs to actually watch what happened on the Daily Show.

I've watched Stewart with the expectation that he would make funny(and to a lesser extent intelligent) comments about silly things in the news(example Glenn Beck "weeping" for America), and have rarely been disappointed. I've watch Jim Cramer for good stock tips and tips on how to invest, and have gotten nothing but nonsense. But to be fair, if a person is an absolute novice in investing, and/or doesn't want to buy and read books on investing, and/or is willing to listen to hours of nonsense until Cramer mentions a company that sounds like something worth investing in, he's not that bad.

Both are entertainers; however, I suppose in a small way, I would consider Stewart more trustworthy... always remembering that his main focus is to entertain not necessarily be a truth teller...

Actually neither AND both. Our great system is open to debate to all and out of that, sometimes comes an answer. At least we have the priviledge of open discussion and decission of making up our own.

jon stewart uses his considerable intellect to make people laugh at horrifying truths. jim cramer yells a lot, which i guess he thinks makes him sound like he has any idea what he's talking about. which he doesn't.

I rarely agree with Stewart, but in my view, he is an honest, upright guy. Cramer is an entertainer taking advantage of people's need for financial security or at least some sensible advice. That guy is an ENTERTAINER, not an advisor!

When Jon Stewart wants to turn off the funny, he can...and he can be very poetic in his sentiments. Jim Cramer, unfortunately, can't turn off the stupid!

Jon Stewart told it like it is. Shame is, although I love the Daily Show, why didn't so-called REAL news uncover this. I know Fox is only entertainment for White, white-haired old men so it can be excused, but where was CNN & MSNBC and ABC? These are real news outlets and should be talking about this type of crap.

Jon Stewart has shown what a truly great reporter he can be. He has knowledge about all subjects he interviews and unlike all our other "network" reporters, he doesn't back down and let those being interviewed get away with avoiding answers. I think Stewart did a great job with Cramer, although he could have kept going and really backed him into a corner.

How sad that my favorite reporter is on the Comedy Channel? Whats wrong with the media these days??

I guess you don't watch The Daily Show...Stewart is anything but stupid, and he is well informed and has researched his subjects well before he opens his mouth...not like Cramer that just shouts off any nonsence , leading people to make bad deals for themselves, which he thinks is a joke because he's making alot of money off his "mis informations". maybe you dont mind getting gilted and losing money, or
    maybe ...never mind!

I do not like Jim Cramer because anyone who investes with a syndicated talk show host should not invest money in the first place.

I do not like John Stewart because people take him way to seriously. A large proportion of people in the age range 35 and under consider him a news source...This is a large reason why people in the age range 35 and under are uninformed about politics.
  • SEAN Jackson 2009/04/15 02:38:25

I don't think anyone in his right mind takes him (stewart) seriously, he reports the facts... he's reporting what everyone is thinking anyway, and puts a spin on it.
  • Jackson SEAN 2009/04/15 03:15:53

Se therein lies the problem. A large proportion of young adults rely on him as there only news source...And if he is your only news source you must then take him somewhat seriously

You know what? One actually learns more about real news with Stuart rather than listening to that circus noise chanel which calls itself erroneously Fox News! Its a sad fact that our news chanels have become propaganda channels instead of real honest news! Even more misinformation comes from O Reilly, Glenn Beck, Limbaugh, and other JERKS which should be locked up for what they are doing to this country, using peoples ignorance for their own personal gain...and they are making big momey , thats why they want people to hat Obama , ...most of the people who are acting up are making under 250k a yr. so they are actually benefitting from Obama's tax cuts....like Joe the Plumber, yet they are being used to go against taxing the rich a few percent more! Dont you think that Glenn Beck, making 18 million a yr. for doing his lousy show, can afford to pay 6 million in taxes to help the country provide services for the average and the poor, as well as for everybody? He uses the roads bridges, police firemen , libraries and all kinds of services taxes provide for him, so...How greedy can one get? And yet they make the little guy think he is getting short changed by Obama,,,when Obama is actually helping the less fortunate of us , with all the benefits we never had under A Republican adnministration, especially not Bush's. they are just using you folks,so wake up and support Obama who is supporting you against the rich! The rich are already doing well they do not need his help.

    A few things

-Jim Cramer is on CNBC not Fox.

-It is Jon Stewart not Stuart.

-I read the newspaper to get my news.

-You are spouting talking points, without actually citing any evidence. Personally I believe that everyone is equal. I do not believe in the idiotic class warfare that you believe in. If someone makes a great deal of money good for them. I do not believe we should punish there success as you think we should. You said, "support Obama who is supporting you against the rich! The rich are already doing well they do not need his help."You are a very hateful person to say that you are against the rich just for the sake of them being rich. That is like saying I hate a group of people because of there life choice. It is wrong and you as an adult should know it is wrong.

Jim Cramer is probably smarter than John but he comes across like some one who has a hard on for all intelligent life. We are not hard of hearing, and screaming doesn't make his argument more cogent. Jim should take up some quieter band instrument like a drum...and beat it.
