NO! This is total insanity ... Think of what their Pay is right now (and all those free vacations/travel .. the living it up that they do on the TAXPAYER dime .. their MASSIVE Staffs and every perk .. from Telephone to internet, websites and everything else they have .. and DOUBLE that expense .. YIKES!)
TERM Limits .. NO Staff at all ... let them do withOUT .. have them limited to no more travel OTHER than a couple times a year BACK to their district to see the Constituents (and NOT a vacation .. this is real work) ...
NO Lifetime Pensions for these .. cut their salaries to no more than the average pay of the most economically distressed jurisdiction ...
HOLD them to a REAL code of ETHICS (similar to the UCMJ) -- and PROSECUTE them for all their crimes .. quick, speedy trial with REAL penalties.
IF they sign on the bottom line withOUT reading the messes .. well .. HOLD them PERSONALLY RESPONSIBLE (seize their assets .. including campaign chests, offshore secret accounts .. personal accounts) as PAYMENT (down payment) back to the TREASURY for what they have chosen to INFLICT on the CITIZEN TAXPAYER withOUT our consent.
MAKE them pay their taxes (and have it independently verified) .. hold them to the SAME standard as the Servicemember. IF they can't be 'both...

This is just a start. We so do NOT need any more CORRUPTION within the Beltway. Let's get the current MESS out and deal with that FIRST!
Stand up and say no.
One, if all incumbents who signed but didn't read the TARP, Stimulus, Omnibus, and the Give Act are removed from power.
Two, if they removed the lifetime benefits and pay for all reps (even the convicted criminals).
We already cannot afford these wasteful greedy bastards and now some fool wants even more of them. This smacks of someone is not getting their piece of the pie. Greedy, corrupt and wasteful fools all on one ship. If we add anymore the ship will sink.
