A former attorney with the National Association for the
Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) , a non-profit group that receives big
chunks of taxpayer dollars each year, this week claimed that “a pattern of
racketeering activity” prevails at the renowned civil rights group.
Whistleblower Tracie Jackson's allegations, outlined in a
Houston, Texas, federal lawsuit this week, come a year after an NAACP executive
in Georgia was criminally charged with embezzling more than $275,000, according
to a report released by Judicial Watch, a group that investigates government
corruption.
In the Georgia case, the branch director and her top assistant
used the nonprofit organization as their own personal piggy bank for at least
six years, according to investigators.
The latest allegations involve the longtime president of the
NAACP’s Houston branch, Yolanda Smith, who allegedly misused grant money so
blatantly that branch's funding was cut off, according to the whistleblower’s
complaint.
The NAACP has suspended Dr. Derric Cofield, citing numerous
violations with his handling of the organization. By the terms of the
suspension, Dr. Cofield must stop representing the NAACP or take any actions on
their behalf.
According to court documents filed in Houston: This
is an action under Title IX of the Organized Crime Control Act of 1970 or
Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (1961), Texas laws regarding
breach of fiduciary duty, tortuous interference with an existing contract, and
negligent retention and hiring.
Officials at the NAACP’s national office in Maryland ignored the
wrongdoing and reinstated the director amid evidence that she was cooking the
books, the complaint says.
The corruption has spanned more than ten years, the former NAACP
lawyer asserts, and seems to involve a major cover up. False financial reports
were provided to grant agencies, a computer hard drive containing pertinent
financial data was removed and subordinates were instructed to doctor financial
reports. Additionally, grant money was not spent in accordance with the grant’s
purpose.
This is of concern because Uncle Sam is very generous when it
comes to funding the NAACP’s causes, which aim to “improve the political,
educational, social and economic status of minority citizens.” As the nation’s
oldest and largest civil rights group, the influential NAACP also strives to
eliminate racial prejudice and keep the public aware of the adverse effects of
racial discrimination.
These campaigns are costly and the politically-connected group
is constantly seeking private and federal grants to fund them. NAACP branches
throughout the nation have received tens of thousands of dollars for a variety
or programs, including aeronautics and space minority outreach, housing
assistance and alcohol abuse programs, according to Judicial Watch
officials.

Will Holder sweep this under the rug? More than likely.
I hate to get into absolutes when dealing with politicians because on occasion they will shock everyone and do the right thing. However, I seriously doubt that this is one of those times.
We should not be giving tax revenues to fund the NAACP, La Raza, ACORN, and any other such organization. Essentially, we are paying them to destroy the US.

I have be saying for a long time that racism is kept alive in this country by those who
benefit financially or politically from having racism as an issue. When 52% of the voters
in a presidential election, is demonstrates that the country has moved on from its
history of maltreatment of blacks. That is not to say there are not ignorant people
in this country like the skinheads who are still racists, but they are in the minority.
Unfortunately there are people in this country who make a living from racism, like
Jessie Jackson and Al Charlatan, the NAACP, the NBPP and the politicians like
0bama who benefit from calling the opposition racists. I think the country wants
to move on and judge a person by his character, not the color of his skin, but those
who benefit from keeping the perception of racism alive and flourishing.

positions, but should our tax dollars be going to support this organization whose
purpose to exist no longer is valid and are only impeding the progress of
blacks in this country. I think this should be investigated by the DOJ, although
AG Holder is racist and probably couldn't do an honest investigation, or could his
civil rights division who has a policy of not prosecuting black on white crimes. Seems
this DOJ in too partial to do an honest investigation.

accusation from the NAACP was against a greeting card company, but I think it referred to
a "black hole" statement. "RACISM!" charged the NAACP......... which is totally ridiculous
but the NAACP does these things to stay relevant.
