Is War GOOD for the Economy or BAD for the Economy??!!

    It all depends on wither the war is declared or not. If it's not declared like what's going on today. After we blow a country to kingdom come, we have to go back and rebuild thier country. If the war IS declared. We don't have to rebuild, therefore costing less money. But there is alot more that goes into it. IE if a country borrowed money from us to go to war, and things like that. So I quess your answer depends of your point of view

    war is an extension of politics in a different direction. i'm sure 'affordableness' is a concern for the one that starts a conflict, but for an all out conflict, i'm not sure that question has any bearing.

    for a country of our size, and the size of the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, they are a cost for some, a benefit to others.

    i'm not sure how you'd weigh that on a measurable, say GDP, scale.
