Colin Powell endorsed Obama four years ago, but this time around, he has chosen not to. Gen. Powell clearly sees that Obama's job performance has not lived up to the 2008 hype. Do you?

I was hoping to see a link or a video or some other proof Powell isn't planning to endorse Obama. Excuse me if I'm skeptical.

Obama played sincerity incredibly well, he would be a much better actor than he is a President. Powell endorsed what seemed plausible. In the context of the Obama ruins Powell must face reality, as do the rest of Americans.

Powell said on Hannity that he hasn't chosen to endorse anyone yet.

Given Mitt's cluelessness on foreign policy, Powell could still endorse Obama again.

Colin Powell is a traitor. He should of never endorsed Obama and now he is feeling guilty because he knows darn well Obama is destroying America. Mr. Powell use to be a very respected man, till he turned his face on America, by voting for Obama. Now..... he wrote a book and wants to make amends with the Republicans. I will be sure not to buy his bloody book. I want to see if all the liberals will be supporting his book.

"Natural born"? I was "natural born", being delivered in the manner that nature intended. What is more "natural" than to be cast into this world screaming and crying after a long time floating around in some salty water in mommy's tummy?
Barack Obama was born in the same manner, in Hawaii, and is a healthy 50 years old now, looking good.

That doesn't lesson the bias of your question. You're basically asking, "Do you or don't you know Obama didn't live up to his hype in 2008?" And I say there is a bias based on the context of "I watch too much damn MSNBC and CNN." The option to choose other is left for miscellaneous commentary, as I'm doing now.
  • Chantal... Chantal... 2012/05/25 05:03:42

Maybe some people believe that he has owned up to the hype he stirred in 2008. And that could start a whole other argument but it's still a person's belief no less. It just seems that your question is fueled by your clear opinion on the topic.

No it didn't but what Presidential candidate's HAS?
I was under no illusions that Obama was some "Messiah" a term I find BLASPHEMOUS by those who utter it. Obama, Romney and any other candidate that ever comes along until this planet is no more is only HUMAN--never forget it. I felt Obama was the better man for the job, he's not perfect, but I STILL feel he is better than Romney

I know, Jen, but I am tired of people thinking that Obama was gonna "cure all" or something, Candidates on the campaign trail LIE and will continue to LIE, he kept some of his promises and didn't keep others, just like many a candidate turned President, we can all get in line, it's the nature of the beast

Though I do think his presidency has shed a lot of light on questions concerning who in the government really has the power. For many reasons, it was easier to just say "Throw Bush out and we'll eliminate all of our problems!" But it seems people are beginning to look within themselves to begin advocating change. Things will continue to be bad if we think any future President will "rescue" us.

Did Colin Powell ask you to speak for him, or did you just open your mouth and out came these unfounded words? Somehow, I think the latter best describes your credentials.

Oh dear. This is the mentality we're dealing with when we engage Obama supporters, folks.

I simply relayed the fact that Powell endorsed Obama four years ago, but is not endorsing him this year.

There's nothing there as far as "speaking for him." There's nothing "unfounded" about relaying that fact, which has been documented in recent news reports.

It's obvious that Powell believed in Obama four years ago, but Obama's job performance has since caused Powell to not believe in him anymore. Don't make smart-aleck personal attacks on me simply for pointing that truth out.
