C.N.N. must learn from other news sources (international and non-mainstream) and adapt... or die.

    1) I would suggest dropping the unrealistic idea of having "unbiased" reports (when the producers are inevitably biased human writers) and, instead, focusing on "balanced" reporting by having news programs from people of different political-leanings & perspectives to give different points-of-view on the same stories.

For example: In discussing the conflict in Syria, C.N.N. could have a report according to Syrian news sources followed by that of its allies in Russia and mainland China (with any necessary translations provided via subtitles/captions so those actually fluent in the given language(s) can themselves judge the accuracy of the translations with what is actually being said). Then, have a report from the perspectives of the U.S.'s interventionist Republican & Democratic parties, and non-interventionist Libertarian Party.

    2) Likewise, they should actually take about events that actually will matter the their US. viewers' well-being:

Maybe they should try using some "reality" in their news reporting........it's entirely possible that "credibility" in news reporting has something to do with ratings.......I dunno.......just a wild guess.

What business does reality TV have doing on a news network? If they want to save themselves, how about offering better news coverage? Every time I turn in to see what they have to say it's like they're recapping stories that are beaten to death or covering fluff pieces instead of hard-hitting stories.

The could really try to play it right down the middle and get rid of the liberal bias. MSNBC owns them, FOX has the right. There are a lot of moderates out there who don't want to listen to Rachel Maddow or Bill O'Reilly, but would listen to someone in the middle if it weren't an ass like Piers Morgan (not to say he's not biased).

I think that would work, especially if CNN stopped pretending to report news and converted to an idiotic 24/7 reality tv format. There are a lot of stupid people who would watch that mess.

    Sweetie, that won't save 'em.

They have no pretense of neutrality or any idea what unbiased means. We saw it with the Tea Party coverage, with the debates, the shootings.. I could go on and on.

The funny thing about reality shows is that they contain no actual reality. It's all 100% fake and scripted.
