NYPOST.COM reports:
Suffering its worst ratings in 20 years, CNN is going Hollywood. In the past few weeks, the No. 3 cable news channel has started seeking out reality-show ideas and big-name stars not afraid to talk politics.

    Reality TV is dead, check the ratings on ALL of those RIGGED shows...they're in the tank.

    Reality TV destroys, it does not save. They would be better off working to expand their talk shows. However, they really should understand that there are just too damn many news shows, news networks etc. There is a lot of real news but too much is put into "news" about celibrities and royals. They should try reporting on more real news from around the world and not just the bad stuff.

    Here's an idea: What if CNN became a 24-hour NEWS channel? Oh, wait! That's what it supposedly is, but we all know it isn't. In fact, this might actually save CNN since there really isn't a legitimate 24-hour news channel in the United States anymore. If CNN focused on delivering legitimate, journalistic, professional news coverage it could enjoy the integrity – and likely the audience share – that it once had. I'd return as a viewer if they did it!

    I'm sorry, just what we need is another useless reality show. Most of these shows have little or no class. Maybe if CNN tried to be a real news station and report the truth, This might just work. What do you think. A news channel reporting true news story.

    I do think that the "beginning of the end" has already started. It's a damn shame too. I remember seeing first day of CNN & their News Coverage. It has well-balanced. Then, the Liberal views started to take over the News Coverage. Damn Shame.

    CNN made it's first broadcast in 1980. It would be nice and interesting If there was a CNN retro channel which broadcast news events from the past just as they occured on the day they happened. How'bout that?

    Nothing can save CNN. Once they dissolved into punditry in order to better compete with the "fair and balanced" conservative agenda at Fox and the liberal agenda at MSNBC, they began losing their credibility. Why can't news stations report news anymore? The 24-hour news cycle has become the most destructive element to our national discourse since The Civil War. It's time to get back to reporting news without an agenda other than informing the public.

    What they need to do is get back to reporting the news when they were not so biased. Just report the facts. I use to watch them all the time.
