So now.......the GOP actually expects people to believe that it is THEY - in fact - who are the "GREAT DEFENDERS" of Medicare and Medicaid - the BIGGEST Government-managed healthcare programs in the country?

After their heads have been exploding for the past 3.5 years with cries of SOCIALISM!!" and "GOVERNMENT TAKEOVER OF HEALTH CARE!!"??

After putting forth - and 100% voting for - Paul Ryan's budget - including killing Medicare and replacing it with a voucher program - which Mitt Romney lavished praise on when Ryan tried to sell his POS "Path to Greater Poverty" to the people?

They actually think people are stupid enough to believe their new line of excrement?!?

I wish there was a more polite way to put it - but there isn't: GOP politicians are Flaming Assholes - with a capital A. And the people who would vote them into office? Fucking Morons.

Yup. Their strategy is:

1) give as little actual policy information as possible. Avoid putting any stake in the ground.
2) take EVERY POSITION - hoping people will hear only what they want to hear
3) walk back everything that makes waves

Maybe because the so-called "mainstream press" are owned by the likes of the slime Murdock enterprises or the Washington Times by a cult as well as other huge conglomorates, that journalists are discouraged from finding out facts for themselves? And then I think there is no little bit of laziness in the mix as well. With news on 24/7, they're all running for the big story and to heck with verifying it until after its been put out as the truth.

True journalism deals with facts, not "sides".

The only sides are facts & misinformation. Real journalist aspire for the former. Propagandists, the latter.

We need more Maddows, Moyerses, Stewarts & O'Briens in this Country.

Yes, I am. It doesn't make us look any better. I'll call someone ignorant and call their ideas stupid, but the kind of name calling you used is just that. If you want to prove a point and, perhaps, have people from the other side listen to you - then present an appropriate argument to support the links that you provide instead of name calling that will turn off the other side. That's not an opinion. That is fact. By posting those clips, while good stuff, they should not be just for preaching to the choir. Those who are going to vote for President Obama are already going to do so. Those who are on the fence will not be swayed in a positive manner by your name calling. Again, not opinion but fact.
